  • Freddy was about to say he had a letter "W" tattooed on each arse cheek, so when he bent over, it said "WOW" ! :D

  • I came here from the Muhammad Ali interview. Why haven't I ever heard of Freddie Star before - what a crime!!!!!

  • what a legend

  • And now for the Bull finch !!!!!!1 hahaha

  • Des and Freddie = Great nights entertainment

  • Am I the only person who remembers Freddie Starr's Comedy Madhouse? This was the sho that launched Russ Abbot to Superstardom? I would kill to see a clip of that!

  • brilliant, just brilliant...reminds me of being a child watching this when it was on the telly with my dad and we both had tears in our eyes just as i do now once again. One of my most favourite childhood memories: me + my dad watching Freddie on Des = tears of laughter...

Freddie will always be one of the classic comedians

    thanks

  • As much as Starr is a prime tit... this was very funny!

  • I've never heard of either of these guys. I found this to be hilarious.

Freddie is outrageously funny and Des can sing.

Not every singer is a Tom Jones or an Elvis. But there are a lot of singers I like to listen to without comparing them to every other singer. What fun is life without variety. If you only like Tom Jones then don't listen to Des O'Connor.

And how does someone "steal" a living. Apparently Des has enough fans to watch and listen and buy his records, to keep him working.

  • Brilliant!!!!

    Isn't Des dapper?

    Thank you.

    5*****.

    Jennie.

  • des stole a living with his weak pathetic voice ,does anyone remember him doing a duet with Tom Jones , ,Tom buried him,he had to pack it in half way through ,it was embarrasing.

  • Freddie Star. No one even comes close nowadays.

  • "Read and weep! For all the tears Freddie cried. He had a thousand Fans by his side. I was just one, of many!"

  • freddie is a legend , todays acts are shit compared to the old generation.

  • Des was Dino. Des was Como. Des was!

  • Des was Dino? You mean he was absolutley plastered drunk (or pissed in British English) at all times? :-D

  • Des! meant so much to me in the sixties. hw had a great show when I was last over in England : 2001 etc. Freddie goes back to a little earlier. Then BBC put him on trial. You would surprised how many are put on BBC's TV (Sitcom Trials) For not prasing their Dictator Queen.. The BBC have so may videos, of many years gone by. When Kings and Queens ruled their little Island. They thing they are being invaded again by the Vikings.. They put anybody on trial, does the BBC.

  • my nan knows freddie star

  • des is such a faggot

  • Two great Stars. Des and Freddie together...The funniest Guy I ever set eyes on...You should have seen him do Elvis

  • hahaha makes me laugh everytime i see this :)

they make a great team x

  • ive got w's tatooed o........

    lol

  • classic freddie

  • He is hilarious. He never fails to attack my funny bone. When I watch him I am in stiches. He is a master at what he does. Genius. Love him.

  • "and now, a bullfinch" these two are amazing double act

  • this is shit, watch the corries version

  • That wasnt funny whoever said Freddie died, twit

  • legendary. pause at 3:28 lol his eyes look evil but funny at the same time.

  • I've just seen Sky News, R.I.P Freddie, you were great

  • bull shit

  • Fuck you !

  • your sick, he aint dead , u sad little boy

  • I'm sorry you feel that way Tony, I personally think Freddie would appreciate my controversial joke he was the Master of humour on the edge, any way like I said" Sorry Tony".

    P.S Fuck you !

  • u twat

  • I'm sorry you feel that way Ricky , I personally think Freddie would appreciate my controversial joke he was the Master of humour on the edge, any way like I said " Sorry Ricky ".

    P.S Fuck you !

  • he dies every time he comes on stage and does the same tired old drunken elvis impression that he been doing for the last 35 years.

he wanted to be a singer and in the early 1960s made a couple of records but the sales were very poor and he was largely forgotten and would never have made it as a singer so he turned to comedy, but after a couple of years his childish 1970s routine ran out of steam and he just carried on doing anything he could, very disgruntled, he beat up his wife and child etc

  • 3.31 he looks demented!

  • Gee this is genuinely funny - great stuff.

  • OMG I LOVE IT!

  • C'est une très belle chanson!!

  • a great crooner is des just like 'gypwin' or 'gentleman john' on you tube.

  • saw freddie star in scarborough, he was so funny the first half, and the second half he came on has elvis, and he was just brilliant, you would have thought elvis was there.. lve that guy.. well em both...

  • What are great pairing these two made....I have great memories as a kid of my mum crying with laughter at Freddie Starr.

  • It's great, Freddie should have appeared more on the show

  • Nobody can keep a straight lip at this clip. I tried and failed. :)

  • o dear...

  • I'm a huge fan of Des O'Connor, a true professional. I really do miss his Thames TV talk show. Freddie Starr's appearances are among my all-time favourite moments from the show. Priceless comedy!

  • Freddie is funny, Des seems to have improved since putting out the cheesy as crap Remember romance album.

  • I have seen Freddie live, he is so funny.

  • Thank god fredy came on not a fan of des i always thought he is a bit to in love with des his voice lacks power and soul. However he hold the world record for the longest running chat show also made tons of records. So you have to take your hat off to that. Mostly old bingo going house wifes are his fans. Just a middle of the road none offending sort of sort of chap.

My worst night mare being locked in a room with des paul dannleis and lenny Hennry. Oh and timmy Mallet. ester ranson

  • LOL!

  • Freddie is funny but I wish Des sang this song without the intrusion. His rendering of this song is one of the best crooning I have heard. I am a fan of Des. Does anybody have Des singing this song by himself completely?

  • Brutaya I agree that Des has a beautiful voice, but this clip is about Des and Freddie Starr. Des loved Freddie coming on to his shows and millions of people watched his shows when they knew Freddie would be on there. So please dont write Freddie off, as a man trashing Des's show, because he did'nt. Des invited Freddie on his shows for years, time and time again. Why? because he loved Freddie and he made Des laugh like he made many people laugh.

  • My comment is not a criticism of Freddie at all. In fact Frddie himself has a lovely voice and is a very funny bloke. I was only wished Des singing the whole song in its entirety. I never said Frddie was trashing Des' show far from it. Phew!

  • @kerri494 so true, Freddie and Des were great together, used to watch the show each week it was on and loved it when Freddie had his turn on the show.

  • i was just wondering if any 1 seen des big mouth !

  • I have seen this many times and I still laugh at this time and time again. He was a very funny talented man. Made me laugh how Des tried to contain his laughter at Freddie.

  • anyone find freddie and ali on parkinson?

  • Very funny, I loved it....

  • First time I've seen that. Excellent TV. Both are masters at what they do. Thanks for posting that one

  • That was one of the best things i have seen him do!! :)

  • fab tv , itv show all these again / not people eating worms every nite

  • never been anyone better than freddie

  • Fabulous! One thing though - it's actually the Skye Boat Song (as in the Isle of Skye)!!

  • Whoops! *fixed* ;o)

  • @snoopy45 the 45 is apt in this case as it was the last time Freddy Starr was funny!!!!

  • i only like freddie star hes class

  • Anybody that doesn,t laugh at that must be dead!

  • hilarious

  • In the voice of Tommy Cooper "and now a Bull finch" the guys a genius i remember all this well, thanks for posting this.
