You know something? Shortly after they kill the dinosaur there is a huge volcano eruption killing everything for miles around. Is that butterfly the ONE butterfly that happens to survive? Do you think in the time that it was stepped on to the time that the volcano erupted it would have had time to fly to safety? Just something I wonder, lol.
I didn't like this movie at all. From one of the first scenes I thought the effects were poor and I believe the idea of the book (and of course the film) was really wasted. In my opinion Bradbury could have wrote a much better story with that theme.
And there's something that makes no sense to me, everytime they returned to the same moment to kill the same dinosaur, how is that they didn't find themselves and the other clients that had previously traveled?
@hoyaprendii Of course the movie sucks. Along with the horrible special effects, they COMPLETELY twisted the plot of what was supposed to be a short story. Short stories don't have that detailed, drawn out plot. If you have read the short story (which you may or may not have), then you would know the actual meaning of the short story, which was that we shouldn't mettle with time, even if we could; and no matter how hard we try to make something safe or possible, something could still go wrong.

From one of the pictures I saw, that Baboon-Lizard looks a lot like the creature from Relic movie, except they just switched the face around. Well it's the same director, so I guess he really liked the creature's design.

In the short story this is based off of, Travis explains that Time does not allow things like that. That would be a paradox, and man cannot meet himself, or something. :D

one thing i can't figure out is if they all went back to the same time to kill the same dinosaur, then would they not run into each other? So there would be like 200 people standing around at the exact same time shooting the dinosaur...

In the short story this is based off of, Travis explains that Time does not allow things like that. That would be a paradox, and man cannot meet himself, or something. :D

you know the films crap, cos each shot of footage is less than a second long, it's kinda like they are admitting that it's crap so they will just keep flashing images on the screen to make it seem interesting. + its covering up the bad CGI.

ya, I read the book, nothing like the movie. in the book Eckles stepped of the path, killing a butterfly, changing history making a dictator president. good book though.
