And they don't come close. While people are inherently violent and all too often justify their actions by invoking religion, Islam is the only religion I know (and I know 9 religions) that places such tremendous emphasis on violence.
I've read the Koran, and I found it awful. Violent, hateful, and very confusing. I was told to look into Hadiths for explanations. I did, and Hadiths were worse than the Koran.
