We can also use HandBrake for AppleTV and having the dolby 5.1 sound on the MP4 ! Easy ! Take the language option, put the first in the 5.1, mixdown on Dolby Surround and put the second track to 5.1 and Mixdown AC3 passthru
AppleTv 2 work very great with the new update of Handbrake and the sound his perfect !
Iv been using this to put movies on my iPhone but I'm running out of memory ther like 1+ gb per movie how can I still have good quality but make it in to a smaller size?
@187MA187 use the iphone preset, keep it at constant quality. the developer says that cq is just as good as 2-pass, but a faster encode. btw, what's your video source? i have 3gb mkv's that end up below 600mb. maybe you could try setting it to an avg bitrate of 768 and do 2-pass, turbo first pass to make it faster
it took 3 hours and when it was done it was a 16GB file on my computer that wouldnt work on any of my video playing software! ive tried it before with actuall video files to convert. but ripping A DVD and then converting it doesn't work can u help me!
When I get an .m4v file after Handbrake does its thing, I try to open with Quicktime and VLC and neither will do it. Do I need another codec or something? This is my first Mac.
i wanna put anchorman on my iphone for a holiday that is coming up but i dont care for having to keep clicking on the next part of the video please help me out
@tldtoday i dont have it yet but i was watching your video and it looks like its breaking ur video ur into parts if i put a film in it cos im going on holiday soon will if break the video up in sections? and what prestets should i use
@CLTarpley I do double encoding and it took about 17-18 minutes per episode but that's because of the setting I chose, it go faster with a 1 pass encode and yes I have an i7 :)
hey dude, im about to go uni in september, im thinking of whether to get a sony vaio or a macbook, can you recommend one for me. And I'm doing computer science. thanks.
@tldtoday not too sure about the apps part but lets just say programming apps, just need something powerful and light, my budget is about £900 (i stay in the uk) and i learnt windows 7 can run on it.
@detroid89 I believe the i5 is £1499 maybe £1399 with education discount?? that would be the BEST way to go, if you can't afford it then the 13"MBP intel core 2 duo would work well and like you said you can run windows 7 on it as well.
You'd more than likely get a better processor with the VAIO but I prefer MAC OSX which you don't have the option to run on the Sony. The battery life will be much better on the MBP as well.
@tldtoday yeah the battery is a good point but its tad costly if can get the educational discount then fair enough but if not then i'll settle for the sony vaio which is much cheaper.
I forgot to mention handbrake for converting DVDs to m4v and mp4 files so you can sync to your iPod, iPhone, and iPad. I also recommend an app called Pando for file sharing in case you would like to send a friend a whole cd or a group of songs which you can send up to 1GB.
