Satch is awesome! However what kind of drugs were they on when they added these useless effects that take away from the show? Played it one time and it will go on ebay. Huge dissapointment . The music rocks the house but the silly effects kill it..

really hard to watch because of the effects. each song is like a music video. The music is fantastic and looks like an incredible concert but i just cant watch it. i have read that satch is aware of the bad reviews and may consider releasing a normal version, fingers crossed eh !

These characters below make it all sound doom and gloom but it can't be that bad. Satriani has too much legacy & virtuosity to be bad : )

Bad reviews on Amazon. I have to agree with the general sentiment. We just want to watch Joe play. See Ronnie Earl's "Hope Radio" or Jeff Beck's "Live at Ronnie Scott's" for the "right" kind of concert presentation on DVD.

I agree 100%. The Live in Paris DVD is a huge disappointment because it's shot like a 90 minute music video and not a concert DVD. Overdone video effects from start to finish ruin the DVD and the DVD ends up having zero replayability. The only Satch DVD that I will be putting on eBay to sell as I just couldn't handle all the video effects. Just annoying

joe sat on this dvd is phenomenal as far as his music goes.Guitar tones, playing,feel..all spot on.He has delivered all his numbers really well,

BUT AM GREATLY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE FILMING.I have no clue how could joe approve such dumb ass production.Looks like somebody just played around with all plugins from Sony vegas.

but at the end, his music and playing just overpower every thing else.that would be the only reason for me to spin this dvd again.joe , you really ROCK :)

The DVD arrived from Amazon Thursday morning. I must say, I was very disappointed in this DVD. I own ever other Satch DVD but this one is probably the most disappointing. The special effects editing is beyond overkill on this DVD. The entire DVD concert has special effects on practically every frame of video from start to finish. I was hoping they would of used effects sparingly, but sadly, they didn't. I wouldn't be surprised if people got convulsions from watching this DVD.

I love the use of the LED's (Light emmiting diode) on the stage! Simply just AMAZING! How they turn things black and white by the use of lights! Amazing!
