love it...I would probably shed a tear if I was playing this song. There is quite a bit of concertina playing on youtube, but not much with soul....thanks.
Thank you....It is a 30 button anglo built for me by Robert Tedrow of Homewood Alabama USA. It is in the key of G/D, a bit lower than the more common models in C/G.
What is the name of the tune you played? I would like to learn it for myself as I tend to like the ballads more than trying to get these old fingers to play fast as greased lightning.
Thanks. I did a search for "Bunclody" in several tune search engines but came up empty handed. Even thought the notation of the tune would be far from what is played, it is helpful to visualize the basic melody and then add the extras. Do you know of any abc notation for this song? Thanks for the music. Steve

I love the deep tones of your concertina! You mentioned that yours is a Tedrow. Is a "baritone'?

The tune is called 'Bunclody" and is named after a town in Ireland. I think the town has a website, and you can make a virtual visit. Cheers....

I rate this a 10 on a scale of 1 to 10. Flawless tune, elegant harmonies, and very well played. "Makes my heart soar like a hawk".
