Probably not. But if this looks interesting to you, look up Resident Evil Gaiden. It's a Game Boy Color game that plays a lot like this (since this basically a rip-off of that game's engine), but more professional looking. It's pretty decent.

i know we're all immune to it now, but for those of us who grew up in the 8-bit era, can you imagine how terrifying this game would have been well before mortal kombat began the rapid desensitization of all of us? even with the NES limited capabilities.

although (and i'll admit right off, i don't know much about the logistics of these things), maybe the game crashed because it was too much for the NES to handle at that time, and it wouldn't have beeen technically possible.

The Chinese did this a lot for PS1 games. FF7 even has an NES port.

I remember coming across a ROM for this a while ago, but I accidentally deleted it and haven't been able to find it since. I just remember thinking it was odd that the aiming system was exactly like RE: Gaiden... Maybe Gaiden was out first?

back when pokemon for gameboy was hot, the son of a family friend gave us a copy of the game was was apparently a bootleg. The game was so glitchy it was hilarious, and the hacked up english was equally entertaining.

Products like this don't take away from sales of the originals, they make pennies off of them and the only thing it infringes upon is greedy companies "intellectual property".

Y'know, if this thing DID surface around the time of the original RE release, it most likely IS official(or just very well made, and semi-official), the fighting slider wasn't incorporated in any game, but in Gaiden, so for all we know this is the real deal ^^
