As a daily driver, driving on highways etc the sl65 AMG is the best hands down! The F430 is amazing on the track (trust me I've driven her on track and the way the nose points into corners is simply art) but at the end of the day I would definitely go home with the sl65 and that's why I have a beautiful 2005 red one with white leather/alcantara interior... ///AMG FTW!!!!

The fact is, if somebody swap that Ferrari engine with the SL 65 AMG, then that Ferrari will not be the same again (mean it is so freaking fast). And anyway SL65 doesn't build for track race but for a long stretches highway like the German autobahn.

And the SL65 Brabus is the fastest in the SL line with 630bhp and an electronically limited top speed of 219 mph (352 km/h), it can smoke any shit on the highway or drag race

The benz is impressive, besides beeing faster, it´s much more flexible, going faster on ordinary roades with some bumps on it, and beeing really relaxed to drive, even your wife can go shopping without trouble. That´s more difficult that just building a car that has a lot of hp and goes well on race tracks..

It doesn't matter if the SL65 weighs 1000lbs. more, it has a 6.0L V12 and about 150HP more to make up for it...yet it barely beats the Ferrari.

@IllxllI 1000lbs weight difference doesn't matter? if you know about drag racing you will know that an extra 100lbs will cost you 0.1 seconds in the quarter mile, which means a 1000lbs will cost you a full second, do you know what it means? car lengths ahead!!

Not saying though that the F430 is weak, the problem is TORQUE, the SL65 has lots of it, the F430 does not, it makes a huge difference in a roll race, in a dead stop race the F430 would do alot better

The new sl 65 black series is a super car because they removed the heavy retractable hardtop system and made it with carbon fibre.
