The only real problem that I had with you singing was that you were not rolling your r's enough. Other than that, it was very nice. I would have loved to see some more emotion on it, though.
It's a good job, nonetheless. Just be careful when singing in languages where their roots are Latin. They tend to roll their r, and it can make that much of a difference.
okay, guys, i realize that this isn't everyone, but aren't you being a little hard on her? this is a song in a foreign language, which automatically makes it about 3x harder, and she's, what, 12 when she sings this song? yes, maybe there are a few things she could have done better, but be nice about it. i think she did fantastic.
@MunchieCrunchie4E don't be mean, leave constructive criticism. It'd help if instead of condemning her for Italian pronunciation errors, you'd help her in the correct way to say the words. Uplift her, (not kick her down) for at least trying it and sounding pretty darn good, even if she made a few mistakes along the way
This helped me alot when i was practicing for my solo for the region 2 music festival! i got adjudicated and ended up getting to go to state! THANKS SO MUCH!!!
thanks for putting this on youtube. I used this to help me practice for my Regional choir and solo/ensemble auditions. I got a superior rating and my score was 32 out 35 points. so thanks again. and you have a beatiful voice.
@Aldornian Actually, It takes a lot of work to be able to sing like that. It took me quite a while, and now I can do it, but just last year I would have sounded like shit. She did very beautifully singing this song. Rethink what you want to post before you post it.
great job!!! just think up and over the high notes. when i do high notes(or really any notes) i try and imagine holding the notes with my voice, and containing them, strongly. but yeah, you did awesome!
very nice voice... BUT, you must improve your breathing (take deep and low breaths), you can not breath between voglio and amar... besides you should practice the italian pronunciation, specially tha R, its very important in words like crrrrudele, semprrre, fierrrezza and so... be careful with the begining of every sentence, cuz you are kind of shouttin.... I like your voice, you can do a lot! i`m just giving you some advices... ;)
i think this song is not a song you just sing. and her voice sounds really strained. if she keeps pursuing music she will no doubt develop into a good singer. she seems to know how to do it on a very base level.
why did they post this i wonder?
and why does she have more views than the chick with brown hair from gsvocal?
I think you did good. You do need to work on breathing. It is a very hrad song to sing I am 14 years old and I have to sing this for a recital. I will post a video of me singing it soon. Thanks for the video!!
Do you know the meaning behind this song? It doesn't seem like it. Look up the translation, then you can be more connected to the music...In this video, you're just singing words. Not feeling them as well.
that was amazing you could have better breath support and be a little less airy... i know cause my friends sing this song in front of judges and im always there cause im singing it too
I love this song its beautiful i love it ands fun to sing but no offnese some parts were alil breathy and you need more breath support! Besides that wonderful! I loved it!!
I like very much this unusual version of the baroque aria and your voice - I am not a teacher :o)) who critizice your understanding of the lyrics or the correct voice tecnique. Keep going for singing.
just a few things to point out that you might not notice when you sing:
try not to "american-ize" the r's. even if you can't roll them (i can't!), trying makes a perfectly acceptable r sound. one of my choir directors told me to say it as if i was dracula, which also helped. experiment and see what works for you.
also, you can do more with dynamics. you can't rely on pitches to make the music for you, form phrases by adding crescendos and decrescendos where you see fit.
@ssejika222 Very true that this song is too "heavy" for a 12 year old. But if she tries too hard to sing like an adult...she could end up losing the voice she has. Women's voices reach their peak at about 30!
@ssejika222 Look, this is youtube...do you really feel the need to leave degrading comments on a kid's video? I mean, "You sound good, but keep practicing" would have really sufficed don't you think? If you feel the need to degrade her that bad, do it in a message.
Yes, and it is the problem that she hasn't one with whom she could modify the tempo. The electronic piano from the tape has always the same annoying tempo and style of playing.
Beautiful voice. Have you studied with a private teacher?
They can help you get a more operatic vibrato necessary for classical singing. Your voice is light and clear, but a little breathy at times. A private teacher could also help with that problem.
Other than that listed above and a few pronunciation errors, it was fantastic!
I LOVE the key it's in!!! I'm doing this for my choir as a solo exept I'm doing a lower version... i'm gonna ask her now if I can go higher!!! lol you did awesome!!!

I`m assuming she is singing to a prerecorded track, in which case she may not have a choice unless the people there know how to slow it down.
But I agree, this was too fast for her to keep up.

Yeah, I did this song, and my teacher wanted to grab a whip at me cause I as having a little hard time with rolling the R's.
Elflover3 2 years ago
It definitely needs to be more legato and slowed down majorly.
The way you sang "sempre fedele ti voglio amar" scared me a bit because you didn't seem to prepare yourself for any of those phrases.
Rolling your r's will help greatly in many ways.
yatesm13 2 years ago
Seems vocally untrained, just in terms of control, diction, etc. But it's not bad overall.

It would sound much lovelier if you found pianist that played much slower. This song is intended to be a slow song.

I would recommend you to search for a pianist who can accompany you appropriately. This Demo isn't that musical. In my opinion it hurries too much.

Italian uses soft or "dental" t's so "ti" should be closer to "di" the diction was distracting and there were several non-classical moments but you're young and the over all sound was nice :) it will get better as your voice matures but definitely start looking more closely at diction.
