  • her breath pure as whiskey, my heart fell in love

  • Oh man, love this song so much, irish accents are super cool and THIS BAND IS AWESOME! <3

  • Have ya ever listened to a song and thought, man, I hope they play this at my funeral?

  • @tacopeut Yea, but it doesn't matter, coz I won't hear it

  • can somebody tell me what this song means

  • Check out the rest of the Drunken Lullabies Album Playlist in my profile, loads of other Full Album Playlists too!

  • This is one of the best albums from any band I have ever heard.

  • One of their best songs ever imo. and they dont perform it live. DAMMIT

  • @Myrnir i think you're right.. why the hell don't they perform do it live???????

  • i love being irish

  • Flogging Molley & Dropkick Murphys!

    Cheers from Germany.

  • Authority can suck my fluffy balls.

  • it's not anti authority it's pro freedom and those are two very different things... stupid fucks!!!! and ... as a musician and music fanatic .. artistically punk is shit... but.. socially there is no genre that holds a candle to punk!!

  • Don't worry about what genre you name it. It's some of the greatest fuckin music made in the last three decades. But for the record, punk is 99% shit.

  • @leakanddestroy punk may be 99% shit, but its the shitness that makes it good

  • listen to Within A Mile of Home, the drms speak of nothing other than punk. You stand corrected.

  • VERY GOOD!

  • its not any genre,... by the way.

  • @penachaos - it's actually punk irish or irish rock therefore it does fall under a genre ;-)

  • @Queenofmynamesucks I'd Like to know where exactly you hear the punk rock in anything of Flogging Molly. Personally I think you and others like you are simply projecting your own wishful thinking. I hear far more folk music then anything else.

  • I'm actually gonna call it Irish Rock, or Folk Rock.

  • its called Celtic Punk a lot of the time

  • @zumwali I see and hear the Celtic, I do not however see or hear the "Punk" anywhere and i have listened to almost everything Flogging Molly has put out. I Hear WAY more Culture themes and references and virtually no anti establishment sentiment which is the corner stone of punk. Personally I think the "Punk" title is people hanging a label where said label doesn't belong.

  • @thebluemaggot In a sence Irish Culture is punk rock, not really anti-establishment side of it but the definately the defying authority thing the Irish have always held to the highest standard. Go Celts!

  • @760conor760 Irish Culture is not anti Authority, There are hundreds of thousands of Facet's to Irish Culture. To say that Irish Culture is all about Anti authority would be beyond short sighted. Punk rock is just another music outlet that started in the Late 70's and died in the late 80's and then got mutated into pop culture rhetoric in the mid 90's. And those Irish songs of anti British sentiment are more about freedom from tyranny, and remembrance than they are anti authority.

  • @thebluemaggot Black Friday Rule and What's Left of the Flag are the two examples I can remember for what you describe

But I think the punk label is more about the music itself than the themes of the songs

  • @lol1143

A little late in replying, but punk is about the simple cords that repeat and the speed. It's the style of the rythym itself not who sings or the theme of the song.

  • Hm, doesn't really sound like punk to me. Fantastic band still, though.

  • @RampagingQuebecker The drums sound extremely punk.

  • Play it at my funeral too :)

  • Flogging Molly is the best celtic punk band!
