@blackwolverine1 You're bang on. This is the sh!t! I'm white and appreciate this. Best music to dance to. I got a taste nice and early when I was 11 years old. How can this rhythm be beat???
On another note, not the same rhythm at all, but great tune still is 'Shaka On The Move'. Man, these songs never get old...
@donone10 ur killing me "THEY" don't know shit about this hermano trust me they're only scratching the surface.Pick up the latest edition of the The Rough Guide to Reggae by Steve Barrow and Peter Dalton it's a must have trust me my yout ur gonna thank me for it, but yeah mon Clement Coxsone Dodd, Duke Reid the list is LLLOOOOONNNGGGG. Did u know Peter Metro came out with a tune where he spoke in spanish during the mid 80's check it brotha it's true ;)
@donone10 i think awhile back we corresponded on this same issue awhiles back but yeah my fams from Guatemala and Reggae is massive in the central american region (Honduras,Guatemala,Belize,Costa Rico and Nicaragua).I The black people who listen to this music in that region r called Garifunas (black caribes) which i am and we rcok to that real roots rock reggae to the latest dancehall. Spanish reggae is represented well by us and we acknowledge its roots from Panama.
@donone10 school em brotha u did ur research, if it wasn't specifically for dancehall reggae period there wouldn't be NO REGGAETON.yet many of these latinos wanna disrespect black people.shit if it wasn't for us their more then likely wouldn't be any of u.
Thanks...I do hear it now. Just the drums are lower and not string drums. Could be an inspiration of Regetton. What year is this song? I Just want to know the real History of Regetton.
Please tell me another Dance Hall song that was the precedent of Regetton because this is not. I was a musician for many years and know about rhythms. Just tell me which song. I like Jamaican music. Just want to know music history and someone told me to listen to this song. Just need to know which to listen to. Thanks.
lol you are not for real, this is where reggaeton is from, it is actually a fact, without this song and Shabba's dem bow, reggaeton would not exist. If you wish to be ingnorant and deny it, fair dos.
This is like slow Merengue, not like Puerto Rican Regetton. You can dance it like slow merengue. Try dancing it like Salsaton, You cant. PR Reguetton can be mostly danced like Salsa. We do. They are different. But maybe this was an inspiration but not the same to the hundreds of Puerto Rican hits of Regetton.
This is the Poco Man Jam Riddim. Is 'Break my heart' the name of the song? I search the listing, there is no song under that name; do you know the artist?
anyone knows a spanish version that i think includes this riddim, but it goes "mueve el culo paratras, mueveculcuclucluclucluclculculcucl patras" something like that, if anyone knows please tell me i'm really looking for this song
well i know a song from speedy wit dat name........now i know an old school song wit da same beat n lirics but iono wats da name.....its in one of playeros cds.....
When I travelled Caenral & South America in '91 this was THE HIT in all caribean dencehalls. Peace & thanx for bringing back the wickiest & wildest memories of my life.
i don't know the specifics but there is a website floating around on the net that lists ALL the reggae artists that passed and how. I don't know if some of the info is 100% accurate but most of it is.
