Bugatti veyron a waste of fucking money, why get that when you can get a V8 with the same amount of power and run the 1/4 and 2 seconds quicker then the veyron. LMFAO stupid asses that hate of muscle will never know.
That motor is insane, it could be a lot faster, but i LOVE that the body hasnt been cut to pieces and interior stripped. And the suspension is pretty close to stock too.
Since the 433 LSX is running in similar territory as a 500ci Prostock engine, how many passes do you get out of the valve springs. Also can you tell me more about the valvetrain of this beast.
We are running a Comp Cams 60mm solid roller, approximately .540 lobe lift with 1.85 intake rockers and 1.8 exhaust rockers. Springs are by PSI with 400 seat pressure and 1150 open. Intake springs will last around 25 passes and the exhaust springs will last about 35. Rocker arms are Jesel shaft mount with ball type adjusters. Pushrods are Manton tapered with bronze coated cups.
The rules changed for the 09 Shootout, so we could have kept the second throttle body and would have had to put on more weight, or swap a single throttle body instead. We went to the single setup and lost around 20hp.
The pistons are fine, the connecting rod takes the beating. You need a quality rod and fasteners that are torqued and stretched the proper spec to hold them together. The rods are GRP Aluminum rods, and they have to be changed out around every 60 passes to be safe.
With the new 433 LSX we built making 1000+ horsepower while turning 9700 rpm, along with the required raceweight of 3500 lbs for the Camaro SS, the Jerico 4 speed would have been pushed past its limits.
The old 427 C5R made 930hp, and was reaching the horsepower and RPM limits of the transmission. We decided to go with the Liberty 5 speed to handle the power of the new LSX and to be more consistent.

9800 rpm?! If I did the math right, thats a piston speed of 6533 feet per minute. Is that right? Crazy fast.

What happened to the Jericho 4-speed? When did it get swapped for the 5-speed?
