There is no strategy involved in rugby compared to American football. You think wearing pads makes you weak and a sissy? I bet half of the people that play pro rugby will barely be able to l by the time they are in their mid-40s. I'd rather be smart than "tough". I've watched rugby before. Hits are much bigger and harder in American Football.
The strategy is constantly unfolding through out the course of the game in Union, whereas in AF the game constantly stops and starts which makes it easier to gauge the strategy being taken. The way the strategy occurs in Union is similar to Football/Soccer in the regard to that it's constantly occurring.
To your next point. Union and League players don't play in there mid 40's simply because of the amount of physical and endurance work that's required of them. It's easier to delay retirement in AF since the plays and action occur only for a few seconds. Players get to rest while they reset for the next play. That style of play isn't as taxing on the body compared to the nature of Union.
Funny thing, Ballet is a hell of a lot tougher than Football is. Why? Well the training is probably the toughest I have ever seen and they actually have fitness unlike some athletes. Also they don't wear sissy pads and helmets and they can still suffer more serious injuries. Not that I do ballet no way, Im to bulky and old to even try.
How? They wear pads and helmets and have constant stoppages? Compare it Rugby Union or League, then you'll have a real understanding of what a real mans sport is.

There is no strategy involved in rugby compared to American football. You think wearing pads makes you weak and a sissy? I bet half of the people that play pro rugby will barely be able to l by the time they are in their mid-40s. I'd rather be smart than "tough". I've watched rugby before. Hits are much bigger and harder in American Football.

The strategy is constantly unfolding through out the course of the game in Union, whereas in AF the game constantly stops and starts which makes it easier to gauge the strategy being taken. The way the strategy occurs in Union is similar to Football/Soccer in the regard to that it's constantly occurring.

To your next point. Union and League players don't play in there mid 40's simply because of the amount of physical and endurance work that's required of them. It's easier to delay retirement in AF since the plays and action occur only for a few seconds. Players get to rest while they reset for the next play. That style of play isn't as taxing on the body compared to the nature of Union.

Funny thing, Ballet is a hell of a lot tougher than Football is. Why? Well the training is probably the toughest I have ever seen and they actually have fitness unlike some athletes. Also they don't wear sissy pads and helmets and they can still suffer more serious injuries. Not that I do ballet no way, Im to bulky and old to even try.

Why is that more people take the initiative to understand and support Rugby Union or League compared to those whom support AF globally?
