truth of the matter is, Pelosi and Reid are side stepping the 10th amendment. Even if states decide whether or not to adopt the public option bottom line is government is going to raise the income tax which effects everyone regardless of your income.
Don't be so naive, try thinking for yourself for once and stop listening to angry white liberals on msnbc :)

Either way; regardless if states can decide to choose to have or not have the public option your federal income tax and other taxes by the federal government will place the majority burden on the middle class which makes up a larger percentage compared to the 5% rich class.
