@luispy1950 You dont necessarily have to add a fuel pack, it is highly recommended and will help you out with mileage, you'll be alright with a stage 1 download from Harley.

I reccomend the Sidekick custom, a depper cut and very comfy. Complements the bike very well looks better than the solo seat IMO.

Oh yeah!!! finally found a dealer that was actually participating in the MSRP trade in. I had to contact a dealer in mobile Alabama but I got my 2009 Street Bob, pick it up Saturday!!! Loved my Nightster but time for something bigger. Can't wait to start customizing, I could only do black billet forwrd cntrls for now. I got the flat grey color, figured it would go better with the covers so i save money not changing them to black

Bad @ss bike man. Black apes would look good, what size are the stock apes? I heading to Harley tomorrow to try and trade my Nightster in for a Street bob in denim black hopefully it works out. What I don't understand though is why the silver covers this yr? I think they should have stayed black now we have to shell out more money. Any I wish it had the side mount plate like the Nightster other than that it's perfect

Thanks man, I think the stock mini-apes are like 12 or 13in. but dont quote me on that. Yeah I kinda wish they woulda stayed with black on the covers, but I put a black fin derby cover on and it looks pretty cool. Good luck with the trade-in and be sure to post a video.

I got the hd forwards but it need extinsions now, got the Screamin Eagle air filter that sticks out and Im having to curl my foot to get to the brake. Thanks for the reply!

I bought them from the dealer and had them install, im sure it would be much cheaper to do yourself if you know how tho.

You know, I ordered my '08 SuperGlide Custom back in May of 2007 while I was stationed in Kuwait. I almost ordered an '08 Street Bob. Mine is my first Harley. It's my first bike period... That was when I was blind LOL. I thought any good Harley had to be covered in chrome. Ha ha Like I said, I was blind:) Some folks don't care for the black AND silver powder coat engine on the '09. I think it's cool! And I like the flat finish paint. Your's is Denim black, right? Once again, awesome FXDB.

I put mine on myself. It's pretty easy. Basic hand tools and some torx bits... I think that's all I needed. I got mine through Harley as well.

How do you like your pipes? I have the exact same V&H Big Radius on my '08 SuperGlide Custom. I love them. Your Street Bob sounds identical to mine. I have the forward controls also. The Dyna models with the forward controls are very comfortable.

damn what happened to the engine block?! Nice tail end though..nice rims too but if they are gonna do the rims they should really do hubs too... but hey just an opinion. Enjoy..make it your own!

They changed it to silver/grey to make it look more like a raw cast. Some people like all black, others like me like a little bit of chrome/silver in there.

Sounds Good. did you bob the fender and put the forward controls on? It looks Tough, don't forget what HD stands for. Hundreds of Dollars (LOL). This is the start now make it your own.

Only thing ive done is the forward controls and the exhaust, the fender comes like that on the 09's. Yeah I agree with what you said about HD, especially if your customizing it at the dealership lol. Thx for the comment.
