On Verizon when i look at upgrading a current phone the thing to the right says it is free but the thing down to the side says requires Data Pkg 29.99$ or higher. Does this mean its a one time 29.99 purchase or does it add to the plan and there is 30 more dollars on the bill then there is with a normal phone? Please answer ASAP.

@atmfresh. You can actually buy this phone and use it with Tmobiles no contract internet &email with texting. Its a gsm phone too. Or use a prepaid sim card and use your own wifi at home. I used to do that with gsm phones ive had in the past. I have the imagio now and i am using it with tmobile. Retail price is high like 300-500$ but you can get one on ebay for like 150$. Its not illegal incase you are wondering.

@I800SlapNTickle HTC are really nice but i would go for the Ally because if you ever had a touch screen before (i had the LG dare) it doesn't last that long but at least with the Ally you have the keyboard to back it up if the screen breaks

Ive had a couple friends who owned the ally and they said that the ally's fragile. 2 of their keyboards broke when they dropped it off a coffee table that was 2 feet high on carpet.. The imagio is harder to break. Ive dropped mine from 3-4 feet by accident and its 100 percent fuctional. i bought a case to protect the phone.

Also I am an adament Windows Mobile user and that phone uses the Windows Mobile operating system. Such applications as Skyfire, Coreplayer, etc put the Iphone to shame, heck that entire phone withe the Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system puts Apple's precious Iphone to shame, but they are too smug to admit it.

I have an Imagio, very good phone if you ask me. I have never dropped or 'cheek-ended' any calls.

I'de like to see flash on the camera, maybe some more apps, etc, otherwise it's a pretty reliable device. Easy to learn, fun to use.

I might be getting a Droid Eris though, my Imagio's speaker broke; I can only hear things through bluetooth headsets. :\

Droids just look fun, more of a lifestyle phone, unlike the Imagio, being more of a buisiness type.

I have the phone but have had to return it twice and now on my third imagio phone. After aprox. two weeks the phone starts to slow down and just to recieve and send texts can take 5 seconds. To close programs can take quite a bit once the phone starts to slow down. Initially I thought it could have been the phone only but now I'm on my third one, hopefully this third one wont give me the same problems.

I got my Imagio this morning and I've been personalizing/playing with it all day. Despite having the keyboard on screen, it is very precise and my sausage fingers haven't had any problems with the relatively small keyboard.
