I've heard worse to, but for 1988 and for a band with Sony, they should have no excuse for a production like that. Unless Yoshiki likes it that way because their new songs didn't get any much better. I want Loudness clear riffs

yea Dahlia is crap. I never got why people call Dahlia the best song ever. Some ever say it's better than Art of Life. the only song i like on that album is a ballad, Tears. But I see no trace of metal in that album. all is robotic voices, and alternative riffs

Yeah. I think everyone would like to see a return to the old days of X, and I am no exception. Personally, though, I think it's a little unrealistic. Heath doesn't have the skill to play most of Taiji's old bass lines (like Give Me the Pleasure, Rose of Pain, and more). And, Sugizo, though amazing, has a completely different style.

@SuperMrToshi i'm pretty sure heath can play this, rose of pain or watever song. heath's not that bad. as for sugizo, it doesn't matter about his style, he's playing yoshiki's style of music. Sugizo's style never shows except when he's playing that violin but even then it's still X it's not SUGIZO. Sugizo can very well play those old songs if YOSHIKI wanted to. but in all honesty i think you xjapan fans give Sugizo too much credit.

@DaNileChannel Heath IS that bad. He's not a bad bassist, and he's a lot better than he used to be, but he's not Taiji. He NEVER taps, and his slap is basic.

I agree about Sugizo, but he is an amazing guitarist. And, you can't expect Sugizo to play exactly like hide did. It's possible that he can, yes, but he's not the same person, and his sound is different.

@SuperMrToshi Very true. Everyone can play songs but just not 100% like the original. Most people who cover songs they get at least 95% of it unless the original musician gives them the tabs to the exact way that he or she plays then maybe.
