I wish they showed the story of "Zero Hour" and "Fox and the Forest". One of my favorite stories from this book & I love how they did "The Last Night of the World"
my wife walked in the room and asked " are you watching Planet of the Apes AGAIN!?!" Jerry probably just gave warner bros. the unused score and went fishing....
'The Last Night of the World' is better in the movie then it is in the book. In the book, it ends by the adults getting to bed and the wife said the fosit is still dripping.
Hayleysvomit: no, he is not. That was Rod Taylor, not rod steiger. He is a british/australian actor. Very handsome by the way. He can be seen in Hitchcock's "The birds" with Tippy Heddren and Jessica Tandy.
As the end narration suggests, I guess we're faced with no absolute answer whether Carl murders him or not.
I got this film on dvd transferred from VHS some years ago. I've always liked it, but critics have been unkind to it - including Bradbury himself. I thought the sequences of the camp scenes were best and most spine tingling; moreso than the stories of which the 'long rain' is my favorite.
Steiger is well cast. He made Carl a very frightening character.
masTerPiece! I'm from argenTina, the first time I watched this I was 7 years old. Now I'm 28 and I just can't describe my feelings after seeing this one more time... thnk u so much!!!

@MisterEvasion He made Carl a weirdo. Carl seemed soo much nicer in the books.

Willie saw his own death at the hands of the Illustrated Man and nothing could alter that ultimate Fate. Like a Grim Reaper situation.
