I'm kind of happy to be circumcised. I understand the argument, and probably won't circumcise my children, but I like the way everything looks down there.

so far, noone has ever been able to explain to me why circumcision is different from cutting off your ear. parents are always having to remind their children to clean behind their ears; why not just cut them off?
Thanks for speaking out about this - I come from a strong Christian background, and even though my beliefs have changed a bit over the years, I hadn't thought to question circumcision specifically. Just didn't seem like a big deal - but I guess it wouldn't to me, since I'm female. Now that you've talked about it, I can see how angry I'd be if I were a guy and that piece of myself was taken from me as a baby (as it would've, in my family) - and I know I won't do that to any of my children now :)
Muslim men are circumcised just like Jewish ones. Just thought I would add that. You will not see foreskin almost at all in Muslim countries. You might see one or two in Lebanon among Christians, or in Syria or Egypt among similar religious minorities. Muslims are globally the most numerically significant circumcisers. Just thought I would pass that on.
In the Philippines they don't circumcise them when they were born..they ussually do it when they are redy lyk in most are in elementary grades....here in the states is automatic...

my partner and i are planning on adopting a baby within the next few month, and are getting him circumcised, its just something that most hospitals don't ask you any more they just do it, there was not question weather we where going to have it removed or not, its just somthing you get done, as a baby you don't have the ability to say yes or no
I am circumcised and so is my boyfriend. I am fine with it gone, I don't miss it and my boyfriend feels the same. I understand that it is popular here. I was told that my parents did it because it happened to my dad and his dad and so on....tradition. I am not Jewish. They also said that it prevented infections because it might be harder to clean. Honestly, I think because it is the norm in America, I personally find cut guys more attractive than uncut guys. I guess it's because I am American.

it does not reduce sexual pleasure nor sensation. You can grow it back, it is a long process and you'll need bi-bi's or ball bearings and surgical tape, and urinating is messy but it can be re-grown, by stretching the skin that rests.

Also "foreskin restoration" can not fully restore a foreskin, it takes years of constant vigilance and it will only achieve a partial unnatural looking foreskin. There is of course some who choose surgery to restore but that can cost up to 50,000 dollars and doesn't look natural either. There really is no perfect replacement for a natural foreskin.

Thank you for saying this.But: "little bit of foreskin"? It's most of the mobile skin of the penis and if stretched out can cover a 10 by 5" space! VAST! Also, one can NEVER re-grow it. Once lost it's binned and gone. The thing about restoration is, it takes years to do... also, it would look weird because you still have a circumcision scar but you have partial foreskin now... because restoration can't make it look like a whole natural foreskin, it can only take you about half the way... so now you just have a rather odd looking penis like no other... so you'd always have to explain that you restored it which is embarrassing... I think it would be best to just stop circumcisions on babies, let adults decide.

Well, after doing some more investigative work, it turns out I am NOT circumcised. I only had a procedure done to me when I was very little but that was pulling my foreskin and not have Acroposthion (foreskin overhang) but other than that, nothing else was cut or removed. i think circumcision is part of the westernized culture. in the western world, circumcision is simply a part of our culture that is commonly embraced and not really thought about.
I think the question we should be asking is, what difference does it make? are you really at such a disadvantage by not having your foreskin that you need to bring it up? ya, in most cultures it's not a common thing to encounter. especially in european countries. It does lessen the chances of penile cancer, but then again, I suppose it really is just a difference in cultures. In the US if you want your child to have their foreskin you have to request that, otherwise it's understood it's coming off just like everyone elses. I will say though, I dont know if the doc was high or what, but they can leave some pretty bad scarring.

Cancer no. HIV only if you are heterosexual male having unprotected heterosexual sex without protection in a country with a high prevalence of HIV (even higher then the US). Then it will slightly but if you continue to do so, you will have HIV anyways.
Consider that the United States has a higher HIV prevalence then the Netherlands, Japan, Germany, etc and in those countries an extremely small percentage of men are circumcised (like less then 5%)
I think circumcision is much cleaner. With any surgeries there can be complications. I don't think that people should do it to their child if someone else told them too. It's the parents decision.

HIV: there are studies that say that circumcision can reduce a males chance of contracting HIV by 80%. I am pro-choice but in South Africa where HIV infection is over 20% the government is considering making it standard practice at birth - now I have a dilemma - should we take way their choice and potentially save many more lives or do you think it's better to wait until they are like 10 years old and then ask them if they would like to reduce their chance of contacting HIV?

no i am doubting the decision me and my fiance made. I am 36 weeks pregnant with our first child and its a boy. great video!!! People who are for circumcision because it reduces the risk of UTI's need to do their research. Getting circumcised does not eliminate the chances of getting a UTI and if they do get one, they can easily be treated. If you are a dirty person you may get them more than others but the foreskin really has little to do with it. My husband is not circumcised and has never had a UTI and probably never will, because guess what? His parents taught him how to keep his stuff clean!
my son slept through his. men can get urinary tract infections easier with foreskin...theyare less noticable in men and if it gets to bad it can effect ur kidneys...ide rather my son sleep through a 5 minute procedure the have to be sedated to have a major operation on his kineys :D theres my reason
@julz08964 UTIs can be very serious. I have a good friend who had zero symptoms until the infection was in her kidneys. She had to be hospitalized. And yeah, you can learn how to clean it properly and that is all well and good. But I have talked to nurses who have seen old men with foreskin infections because there is no one there to make sure they are cleaning it correctly. So it can be an issue later in life. It should be a parent's choice. End of story.
@palewhiteribbon After the first year of life the risk of UTI for the circumcised male and the intact male (not circumcised) is the same. It is less then 1%. Excluding forced retraction and encourage breast feeding and co-rooming (or non-hospital births, to avoid hospital borne infection) the risk of a UTI for a circumcised infant verses an intact infant is the same. Less then 1%. According to 2 Israeli studies, 50% of circumcised boys get a UTI after their circumcision.

I believe that babies should be circumsized. i myself am Jewish so , of course Im circumsized. my partner and i are planning on adopting a baby within the next few month, and are getting him circumcised, its just something that most hospitals don't ask you any more they just do it, there was not question weather we where going to have it removed or not, its just somthing you get done, as a baby you don't have the ability to say yes or no

I am circumcised and so is my boyfriend. I am fine with it gone, I don't miss it and my boyfriend feels the same. I understand that it is popular here. I was told that my parents did it because it happened to my dad and his dad and so on....tradition. I am not Jewish. They also said that it prevented infections because it might be harder to clean. Honestly, I think because it is the norm in America, I personally find cut guys more attractive than uncut guys. I guess it's because I am American.

Also your comment about "dates running through the door" is simply a twisted cultural perception. I mean ppl hate the natural look of genitals? The only reason for that is because they have been taught to hate uncut and told stuff about it being unhygienic etc. IMO the only reason to get circumcised is if there is a problem and the foreskin cant retract.

it does not reduce sexual pleasure nor sensation. You can grow it back, it is a long process and you'll need bi-bi's or ball bearings and surgical tape, and urinating is messy but it can be re-grown, by stretching the skin that rests.

Also "foreskin restoration" can not fully restore a foreskin, it takes years of constant vigilance and it will only achieve a partial unnatural looking foreskin. There is of course some who choose surgery to restore but that can cost up to 50,000 dollars and doesn't look natural either. There really is no perfect replacement for a natural foreskin.

Thank you for saying this.But: "little bit of foreskin"? It's most of the mobile skin of the penis and if stretched out can cover a 10 by 5" space! VAST! Also, one can NEVER re-grow it. Once lost it's binned and gone. Stretching the shaft skin which is far less sensitive into a floppy, loose imitation though aiding the restoration of sensitivity hardly equals a real 4skin full of 100k specialised nerves and stretch receptors.

The thing about restoration is, it takes years to do... also, it would look weird because you still have a circumcision scar but you have partial foreskin now... because restoration can't make it look like a whole natural foreskin, it can only take you about half the way... so now you just have a rather odd looking penis like no other... so you'd always have to explain that you restored it which is embarrassing... I think it would be best to just stop circumcisions on babies, let adults decide.

I just wanna say that I have never heard about anyone experiencing problems with hygiene in that area because they had their foreskin. It's really easy to clean.

Well, after doing some more investigative work, it turns out I am NOT circumcised. I only had a procedure done to me when I was very little but that was pulling my foreskin and not have Acroposthion (foreskin overhang) but other than that, nothing else was cut or removed. i think circumcision is part of the westernized culture. in the western world, circumcision is simply a part of our culture that is commonly embraced and not really thought about.
I think the question we should be asking is, what difference does it make? are you really at such a disadvantage by not having your foreskin that you need to bring it up? Im circumcised, and it's never crossed my mind, till watching this video. Ya it might hurt a baby, but is it really so traumatic? they dont remember.

I can't really disagree or agree with you, because I'm not American... and America is pretty much the only country that does this... for non religious reasons, in Europe and Australia (where I live) it's fairly unheard of.... but if it doesn't make a difference then why cut it off in the first place? ya, in most cultures it's not a common thing to encounter. especially in european countries. It does lessen the chances of penile cancer, but then again, I suppose it really is just a difference in cultures. In the US if you want your child to have their foreskin you have to request that, otherwise it's understood it's coming off just like everyone elses. I will say though, I dont know if the doc was high or what, but they can leave some pretty bad scarring.

Cancer no. HIV only if you are heterosexual male having unprotected heterosexual sex without protection in a country with a high prevalence of HIV (even higher then the US). Then it will slightly but if you continue to do so, you will have HIV anyways.
Consider that the United States has a higher HIV prevalence then the Netherlands, Japan, Germany, etc and in those countries an extremely small percentage of men are circumcised (like less then 5%)

I think circumcision is much cleaner. With any surgeries there can be complications. I don't think that people should do it to their child if someone else told them too. It's the parents decision.
Honestly, I know someone who was circumcised later on in life and he told me it was very painful.

HIV: there are studies that say that circumcision can reduce a males chance of contracting HIV by 80%. I am pro-choice but in South Africa where HIV infection is over 20% the government is considering making it standard practice at birth - now I have a dilemma - should we take way their choice and potentially save many more lives or do you think it's better to wait until they are like 10 years old and then ask them if they would like to reduce their chance of contacting HIV?

Since his only reason was " well i am circumcised i want my child to be circumcised" i read a couple articles and it said it was more hygienic and other stuff, but its true poor child coming to this world and a day later suffering just to have his penis look like his daddy. great video!!! People who are for circumcision because it reduces the risk of UTI's need to do their research. Getting circumcised does not eliminate the chances of getting a UTI and if they do get one, they can easily be treated. If you are a dirty person you may get them more than others but the foreskin really has little to do with it. My husband is not circumcised and has never had a UTI and probably never will, because guess what? His parents taught him how to keep his stuff clean!

@julz08964 UTIs can be very serious. I have a good friend who had zero symptoms until the infection was in her kidneys. She had to be hospitalized. And yeah, you can learn how to clean it properly and that is all well and good. But I have talked to nurses who have seen old men with foreskin infections because there is no one there to make sure they are cleaning it correctly. So it can be an issue later in life. It should be a parent's choice. End of story.

Excluding forced retraction and encourage breast feeding and co-rooming (or non-hospital births, to avoid hospital borne infection) the risk of a UTI for a circumcised infant verses an intact infant is the same. Less then 1%. According to 2 Israeli studies, 50% of circumcised boys get a UTI after their circumcision.

Great video just a comment on two things you can teach your son how to wash his ass but not his privates ? on average 11 babies die every year while in a car seat on average 114 die while being circumcised or from complications from having it done, Why even take that chance with your child. What if u didn't get it and u got hiv, but it could have been prevented if it was cut. Or some disease. Its not being lazy, its harder to clean. And it is medically proven. Some men had to get circumcised as an adult and even tho they had anesthesia, that's more painful. Would u rather remember it and be scarred of not even know it was done?

America has the highest rate of HIV+ individuals in the western world america also has the highest rate of circumcised males in the western world. You want compelling evidence? then there it is. Circumcision is not medically necessary on any level.

Anyway its not dick cheese, the technical term is smegma, and girls produce it on their vagina as well. in fact the vagina holds way more bacteria than an uncircumcised penis, but you don't see girls getting their cliterous circumcised. As for sex its amazing, my dick is so sensitive I have to wear underwear because just it rubbing against my clothes gives me a boner. The sensitivity makes the orgasms more pleasurable.
