Formula 1, NASCAR, Indy & Le Mans sports car drivers autographs from the 70's for sale!! Highest bidder wins! Get out your cheque books? Very high quality & 100% genuine this is 'not' a hoax..no time wasters..Thanx WFRXXX-Congrats' Jenson Button F1 World Drivers Champion 2009..a beautiful drive. Rubens = Hero!! ^_^ ..
from an american point of view, racing should not be about the best car? The cars should be equal with the setups being the difference maker. Thats how you determine the best driver+team communication. I just watched scott speed win at nashville and they said he never stood a chance in F1 because of the car? Why in the world would anyone want to race in the series if they are in crap cars? I dont get it?
I disagree because that just effectively makes engineers, team personnel, etc. "stagehands". Racing has always been about resources and technical expertise. This notion of equal cars or leveling the playing field is simply an illusion. For example, in NASCAR the battle has effectively been between 3 teams the several years: Hendricks, Roush and Gibbs. How many teams are in NASCAR?
Speed was a victim of politics as he clearly has skills. If you want to critize that, I will agree 100%.
Good point,,, but,,, at least nascar does have hundreds of rules in place to try to keep the costs down and level the playing field. Unfortunately the drivers are making 10 million dollars a year, and most do not push the envelope, or take chances until their contract is about to expire? Or, just take a sunday drive. haha But nascar does try,,,
I think the thing that makes F1 my favorite motor sport is the fact that no two cars are the same. The current season is a great example. The sport has seen massive rule changes and we have ten different teams with different design philosophy yet the grid is covered by just two seconds. Certain teams remain at the top of the sport but only because of the hard work they have put in to get results out. You don't need the best car to prove you're talented. Vettel in 07&08 is a prime example of this

Villeneuve has to be one of the biggest jokes in f-1 history. He was lucky enough to drop straight in the best car, then moped around and stupidly commited to BAR. He doesn't have any testing talent, basically a very lazy driver. In a phrase, he simply took his racing career and flushed it down the toilet. I challenge anybody to prove me wrong.
Oh boy, another JV is the worst driver that ever lived rant. The question is do you have proof to prove your theory? I dont strongly disagree with you on testing commitment, but how is that any different than the current World Champion Kimi Raikkonen?
You seem to be a Prost fan, and I approve all the way. Now that's a real champion with real abilities. I just don't need to prove anything, it's all there for you to read and see. Raikkonen, as stoned he looks , is a much better driver that prick Villeneuve. He rarely crashes out, and he lost at least 2 championships because he was driving a unreliable piece of shit McLaren. Prove me wrong there daprofessor51.
Thing is, Raikkonen was quick in the Sauber when he first joined. He was consitantly quick in the Mclaren and is still quick in the Ferrari. JV went straight to Williams, and after losing in 1996 he very nearly threw the title away in 97 as well. What has he done since then.
In my opinion, the wrong Villeneuve won the world title.
I think a closer analysis of JV's time at BAR is required as he demonstrated he was a top driver. Saying Raikkonen was quick at McLaren is nothing special as that was a top team. The critcism was his testing commitment.
Frentzen had this gostly reputation that half materialized at Jordan in 99, his best season of his career. Frentzen is a weird blend, fast only if he felt like it, too rarely for most teamowners. So to most views, being faster than Frentzen was not a reference.
even if you are schumacher you dont win in f1 if you dont have the fastes car,so leave villeneuve alone,he has proven him self...

villeneuve was faster then frentzen (who was considered a very good driver) both in 97 and 98, while they were driving the same car
