  • @09rob12341

This was worse than his, cause at what happened in the GP before this, these cars aren't safe AT ALL.

In 2003, safety was quite, well, brilliant.

  • Perez so many years after this, there is clearly a potential for a tragedy here. It would not cost a fortune to eliminate that permanent median and create a temporary one for the rest of the year. What is F1 waiting for?

  • @NotoriousAWOL And Button in 2003, which was worse than this, and not forgetting Rosberg in free practise this year. I think they should remove the turn at the bottom of the braking zone and replace it by making it a long straight.

  • @09rob12341 They've removed the wall from this place now.

  • surely thats slow mo

  • Why dont you just remove that big long wall and make it a longer straight and remove the chicane?

  • @Jamiet958 Thats what it used to be like.

  • Do you know what this accident and the one of Perez's proves?

This race track needs to be scrapped. If Imola and others can be complained about because of safety standards there's nothing wrong compared to this hazard area.

  • @Hoppo5970 Uhhh.... Incase you didn't know, Monaco was the first ever GP circuit. Getting rid of this track is like taking a knife to a newborn's throat. Nobody would watch it anymore.

  • @AlexGRFan97 So you're saying that if Monaco was removed from the racing calendar F1 would seize to exist. That is nothing but complete and utter garbage, do you honestly believe that Fans from other countries would stop watching, just because one of the most dangerous tracks has been removed! Oh and if you have thoughts of knives and newborns, I think you need to get checked out!

  • @Hoppo5970 And, if Monaco were removed, F1 fans would not "cease" to watch the sport because of the loss of the jewell in the crown of it's year; they would turn off because the cars would be just following each other around shit circuits like Valencia. Good grief get a grip on reality; the Monaco Grand Prix is staying, and one sad cunt like you who thinks it's outrageously dangerous because of one turn won't change that. Fuck off and grow up.

  • @MrThreshold2009 Did I say that F1 would cease to be watched? I don't think so, try reading all of the comments and you'll see just who started that argument off. Aww and poor lad, needs to resort to foul language over a computer. All I'll say is........Muppet!

  • @Hoppo5970 Muppet? Are you a five year old, you sad twat. F1 too scary for you? Mummy need to hold you hand during races? Sad act. Try being less of a dunce and then you won't get people pointing out how stupid you are! LOL! :o)

  • @MrThreshold2009 Hahaha, taken to playground tactics have you, if motorsport scared me you fool i wouldn't have had my own accident and climbed back into a car a week later. Oh actually aged 41 by the way and wanted to have a sensible conversation but I appear to have got you instead. Next time you see something you don't agree with I suggest you carry on to the next page or maybe read a Janet and John book instead. Ta ta

  • @Hoppo5970 Awwww, diddums! Is the naughty man being unkind to yew? Awwww, have a wowwipop!

41 and you're throwing a hissy fit about the dangers of the Monaco Grand Prix? Your argument was vacuous at best. Hell, let's ditch Spa because that has some dangerous corners. Idiot. People like you ruin the essence of motorsport.

  • @MrThreshold2009 Do you honestly believe that someone with an IQ less than his shoe size can really bother me. Really, you must have a unbelievably high opinion about yourself. Something that is well over-rated. I don't care about pathetic little lifeforms like you, you're nothing but a troll who enjoys the meager amount attention that you get. Well I've given you your little bit of craving that you desired for today, you poor excuse for an oxygen tank. I'd rather suck on a lolly than cock!

  • @Hoppo5970 You'd "rather suck on a lolly than cock!"? Well, we've established you're probably not gay. Thank you for illuminating me, but it doesn't really have anything to do with our belligerence so far. And you wrote an awful lots for someone who doesn't care about pathetic little liforms such as myself :)

  • @Hoppo5970 Pffft. Let's scrap motorsport altogether, then no one will be in a hazardous position at all. The sport's dangerous. Drivers know the risks and can walk away whenever they want. Watch golf or snooker if you can't hack the danger element - it's part of the thrill of the sport.

  • @MrThreshold2009 First of all don't tell me what I can and cannot watch, I was watching the sport from when I was a youngster, that includes going to the races themselves. I' was going to places like Croft at 4/5 years old when danger was part and parcel of the sport. Secondly, the only reason that Monaco is on still on the racing calender is because that's where most of the deals and corporate stuff is dealt with. There's been more uproar about other less dangerous tracks yet they get dumped!

  • @ArtonioJ partly right, but only partly. Of course the improvements in track safety and in vehicle safety saved Sergio's life. But it was not so much the HANS device that protected him from major injuries, it was more the the elevated and confor-upholstered cockpit side walls that kept him alive. HANS ist only effective in head-on-crashes, Sergio touched the barrier sideways.
