I enjoyed this beer a lot. If you like wine coolers and Belgian lambics, then you will like this beer. However, if you like pale ales, porters and stouts, then you probably will not like this kind of beer. Another similar beer to this one that I like is Lost Coast's Tangerine Wheat ale.
just bought this beer sat down and watch my smile turn into a frown watching this. Its true too fruity if you are used to actual dark or pale ale. I do like that its true to its name tho. Very orangey and creamy but they forgot to add shit ton of carbonation that upsets my stomach. for 8 bucks tho im gonna enjoy this shit maybe one a day in the morning hah.a. cereal and orange blossom what a nutritious breakfast.
a friend of mine recently tried this because she's a fan of the buffalo bills. she didn't mention anything since, so i guess she wasn't impressed. fruit beers can be good too though, depending. i like lambics and ciders, and Orange Blossom Pilsner was pretty drinkable.
I live in Chicago and I went to my dad's cottage in Michigan. I went to a small place in Michigan called Gobles. I bought a 6 pack of this and went back to drink it and after the first sip of the first bottle, I had to go back and by 3 more cases. Great tasting beer! Where can I buy in Chicago area?
These guys are idiots. Not old enough to know what beer is. This is a good "ale" and tastes nothing like a fruit drink. Has a fruity taste, yeah, but finishes like a beer.
Just had this beer a while ago, everything that was said in this vid is spot on.
this is NOT BEER, its more like a Orange Wine Cooler. I could see Smirnoff Ice selling this type of drink. Its great for girls who like fruity drinks. it has very few characteristics of a beer. again its more like a fruity, carbonated soda type drink with a little kick.
even thou im not a fan, in all seriousness, Mikes Hard should consider this in their product line. An Orange drink would do them well, seriously.
Unfortunately, the beverage reviewed here never intends to be a beer. Its a fruity ale through and through. I feel that the ratings here are lower due to the "beer" bias of the reviewers. If you enjoy sweeter beverages, this ale will rate higher with you than the judges here. To the better beer production staff...broaden the panel a little.
I guess you are right, what pisses me off is that some beers like Corona (lime) and Blue Moon (orange) need the fruit, then you get a bar tender who thinks all Mexican beers needs limes and all wheat beers need Oranges. Make me angry and violent. Well not violent. Embrass the pumpkin and don't be a hater.
Dogfish Head make a very good Punkin Ale. James, try the Abita Turbo dog, a pretty good ras. wheat beer. Hate when they put fruit in my wheat beers, it's gimicky, Blue Moon does this and pisses me off. But you would expect that from a Coors product.
@dhartogs My thought on fruit is that if you like it go for it. For example, I think Corona with lime is good on a hot summer day, but without the lime I think the beer sucks. If you put a lime in other similar adjunct lagers the lime doesn't taste good at all. I don't like pumpkin tasting things, so I'll probably avoid the pumpkin offering from Dogfish Head.
I've had the pumpkin ale from these guys and it was horrible. I got 5 out of a 6-pack because the folks before me got it for holloween. I could not finish 1.
hmmmmmmmmmm thats sounds like a good beer for me lol. but hey at least when you by it its IS fruit beer your getting your moneys worth.. you would probably have this at no like a party but more like just a get to gather. or is seems like a beer you would try for your first time if you like friut
Tried this one last year. Likewise I would not seek this beer out. There was nothing wrong with the beer just not for me.

@musik210 This beer is definitely not for everyone. It feels like more of a summer beer too.

Sounds like it would taste like one of those orange creamsicles. I'll likely stay away from this based on the review.

its a twist off!
a fruit beer is ok if they dont make it gimmicky. you should try an authentic belgian lambic.
cant wait for the fall when pumpkin beers are in bloom!@
Chad9976 1 year ago
@Chad9976 I think Sam Adams Blackberry Wit Bier is pretty good. This was more like champagne than beer. It was ok.
Twist off. Good point. Once again we have failed. Doh!

@dorf68 I hate pumpkin flavored anything, so that wouldn't be a good fit for me. Sounds awful.
