I play paintball as well. The reason to use a bolt as target practice is because it's a small point to aim at. People can't even play speedball indoors without shooting the bunkers as 'practice', and I'm not talking about doing drills. I'm not pointing fingers at anyone, just bring up the fact that it's an issue. Thanks.
Hey Scott we typically play on private land and away from climbing areas simply because its too dangerous to be near other activity centers. As for shooting the routes. We don't need to shoot them for target practice as there are plenty of players to do that with. What good would shooting a stationary bolt be anyway? I would also like to point out that paintballs degrade in the sun and rain. While I do not condone people shooting the rocks it happens. If you see someone being stupid tell them.

Hey if your the guys that play in Green Valley gap, please don't shoot the climbing routes. Some people use the bolts as target practice.
