keep your dipper vertical when you use the extend a hoe. i mean you dont have to but its a lot less wear and tear on the hoe....

i have pretty much the exact same model..ive own a cat 420 before this one.pretty much the same the case has more speed and more power but the cat has a better counterweight

Case 580 super L series 2 are probably the best backhoes ever made. John Deere 310 or 410 SG's are next or better depending on what you're doing. Cat backhoes though....big turds.
