I got mine on the 1st of March. Mine is gloss black but matt looks equally good. I was told matt was virtually unobtainable and could delay delivery by weeks.The weather has not been too good here in the UK but I have been out and about and love this bike. It gets loads of looks. I just wish we had weather like you have in Australia. Enjoy!

For mine I am getting shorty pipes, different indicators, tear drop mirrors, maybe different footrests, grips, and sidestand, the paintjob on the tank, and thats it. The bike is so good as is.

Will the pipes fit on regular rocket 111? Had mine since 06 brand new! Remember picking mine up back then, Feels good dont it! Happy riding!....

I would think so. The cats are in the ends of the pipes so you'd ditch your current cat, but no biggie. They did that to make room on the bike for the ABS module. I'd just get the staintune ones when they come out.

I ordered mine on Saturday 6.3.2010.I wanted a matte black and was assured I could have it Wednesday. Turns out there are none in the country for sale at the moment and Triumph can's say when the next batch will arrive as they have gone so quickly. So I am getting a normal, shiny black Roadster. The paint job on the tank will work better with the phantom black so it all works out in the end. After seeing the vid I am giving the little black screen a miss. Looks unreal as is.

@ausglocker I am thinking of getting it so it looks like the top layer is peeled back with some of the union jack showing underneath, or like the tank has claw marks through it with the union jack underneath. Just across the top of the tank. I don't want the picture to dominate the bike.

I thought of that too. On you tube there's a 'real fire custom rocket III', he's done it, the claw marks and the Union Jack. I'm not gonna now, so go right ahead. I got something else in mind, something Aussie,

It's 12:21PM at the moment and at 5PM I am picking it up. Finally the rego is done. I will ride it to Cooma and then take it back home to Wanniassa. I am going to have a couple of mates with cameras following me for a little bit and I will post that video.

Mods will come in time. I am in touch with Staintune and trying to work a performance pipe for it. As for the blower, hmm lets see how my ride goes! lol

Hee Hee, u r nearly there! Maybe a debaffle first, while staintune get organised? I've decided, two tone gloss black and tornado red, neaten up the rear guard (too long), do mirrors and indicators, blacken out the radiator, make it single seat, and maybe shorter bars? Then off to ride, and it would be a keeper, as you said, cos what else is there? You are off to have the ride of your life, you lucky bastard ! Enjoy, and post it up man !

Custom mirrors too, I think, but this one doesn't need much done that's for sure. Do you have to have the chrome radiator shroud? Black there too I.M.O. is the go. U must tell us all what it's like to ride, and how it sounds with stock exhaust !!!! Enjoy man ....

I'm like you, always looking to do mods. Agree tho, the Rocket is pretty right from the box. Like on my bike, I hate the stock indicators, billet HD 'bullets' is the way to go there man. A blower is mental, does it really need that? Outrageous idea tho !! Raise the bars too, u were right there!! U know your bikes, I could tell. How come it took u so long to ask if it starts? I woulda been straight on and trying to fire it up !! LOL. Must be an AMAZING thing to ride, thrust in ANY gear!

I've been thinking. I reckon gloss with a custom 'red back' red stripe on the front and rear guard, and a Union Jack in the middle of the tank, or similar. Or maybe a flame job? Or, matte, with tornado red side covers? I want some red on there, and/or the flag. I have a 98 red/black t/bird sport triple y'see?! Beautiful, tough, in proportion old skool bike, but it's not a Rocket !! The Rocket is the king of bikes. I'm pretty big, and I want the biggest there is !! T/bird is toylike.

Amazing bike ! I'm jealous. I dunno though? Gloss or matte ? Tough call but you gotta pick one ! I reckon gloss, not sure. Matte, however, with some custom pinstriping, that would look way cool !! Old skool hotrod. Tell you what though, I would paint the plastic chrome thing on the left hand side black, for sure !!!

I have 1 more sleep left, I am picking it up tomorrow! I would suggest the matte, with the roadster it looks right. Gloss is for the touring and the 09 classics. As for the left side, that's the airpod cover. I kinda like the definiton it adds. I will be doing mods in time, I have a TTS Super Charger in mind! With all of my other bikes I always felt like doing a million things and with the Roadster I feel pretty much happy with how it is but there is always a way for improvement :)
