its a mic it catchs the guitars strings sound
like electric guitars has them so u can plug them into amps
so guy is using amp too so u need a mic aswell

nvm. that would be stupid. i think it's those things that you put over the whole and plug into an amp for acoustic. it helps record audio for guitars and stuff. nvm about the bridge thing. i wasnt thinking. lol
