It's not as if the keepers want to put pandas in the spotlight all the time. In fact, if all pandas could be released into the wild, the keepers would happily do so. But this cannot be done in order to safeguard the future of pandas, and all these commercial methods that you so hate is necessary for people to donate to this cause.

In order for the panda research base to continue its important work of breeding and protecting the pandas, a lot of funds are needed, and some of those come from the tourists. I think if we genuinely care for animals, we should be doing our part by helping, donating or adopting environmentally friendly lifestyles, rather than sitting around, forming judgments and condemning others when we don't know the situation well (or worse still, making racist remarks).

In order for the panda research base to continue its important work of breeding and protecting the pandas, a lot of funds are needed, and some of those come from the tourists. I think if we genuinely care for animals, we should be doing our part by helping, donating or adopting environmentally friendly lifestyles, rather than sitting around, forming judgments and condemning others when we don't know the situation well (or worse still, making racist remarks).

if they hadn't intervened decades ago the panda population would have plummeted below the minimum population line. the truth is that if no one did anything the only panda we would see today would be in a history book. they are a naturally dosile animal that refuses to survive.
