  • @NostalgicSince2005 That would be good except the sephiroth throughout the game is actually Jenova using his image to move around. You learn this in the Northern Crator right before Meteor is summoned. You don't really get to the actual Sephiroth until the end of the game...I'm just saying.

  • Why can't you fucking idiots just like both?

Sephiroth and Kefka are equally the king baddies of Final Fantasy. It's quite easy to like both, quit being stupid and letting the fucking retards on each side sway your rational mind. You can think for yourself you fucking bandwagoning dipshits...or can you? I wonder...

  • @W0BN1AR I wouldn't put Seph on the same level as Kefka but then again FFVII wasn't nearly as perfect as VI anyway...the story and characters were amazingly thought out in VI but in VII alot of them fit stereotypes from the more ghetto foul mouthed Barret, to Angst ridden "goth" Vincent. Cloud was like a cardboard cutout with dialogue...and sephiroth was a generic bishounen villain. It wasn't a bad game but not as good as VI.

  • To the debate on the best FF villain, Sephiroth is not 1st or 2nd, he's 3rd. Kefka is 1st, Kujo is 2nd.

  • @Stevie2Sxc KUJA?! Oh, HELL, no! No guy who wears a codpiece and a cape belongs anywhere even NEAR a 'badass' list.

Hell, nobody who wears a codpiece and a cape belongs anywhere but a gay bar. PASS.

  • @danyetman No, the guy is awesome! I mean come on, he destroys an entire world without breaking a sweat just because someone tells him he'll never be immortal and wants to destroy everything just because he thinks it's unfair for life to continue without him.

Yes he dresses like a Queer Eye fashion nightmare, but that doesn't change the fact he's awesome and insane with one hell of an awesome theme song

  • @danyetman That's appearances Kuja was a psychotic cross dresser who didn't care who he had to kill even his own people. He was overly theatrical but in an entertainingly evil way play the game and just pay attention to him. He's a villain who does what he wants becaues he can.

  • @danyetman lol when did they permit a mama's boy on the "badass" list?

  • @danyetman So are you saying that David Bowie isn't badass?

  • @TheEasternWind Exactly what I'm saying, "Ziggy Stardust" or no "Ziggy Stardust". And I HATED 'Labyrinth'.

  • @danyetman Are you a homophobe?

  • @DarknessIsTheTruth Why would you call me that? Just because I think it's creepy for men to go around in capes and codpieces? Because I think David Bowie ISN'T a 'badass'? Or...maybe it's because I don't think Sephiroth is a worthy villain? In any case, OBVIOUS TROLL IS OBVIOUS. Knock it off; stop trying to start a fight. Because all I need to do is block your ass, and you haven't earned that JUST YET.

  • @danyetman

I agree, he may be a psychopath attention whore with a but cape, but top three villain is a no.

  • @Stevie2Sxc Cool opinion, dumbass.

Sephiroth and Kefka > Everybody else

  • Well, Kefka isn't that much of a challenge i think he is a wussy to battle, he's three tiers put up more of a battle, he lasts all of >5Minutes in my hands. Aside of his "fallen one" skill, he has nothing to fear, but that's me playing it back when FFVI was known as FFIII (Almost 20 years).

  • nice video here wow cool indeed

  • Son of a submariner this is awesome!

  • Sephiroth disliked this.

  • AWESOME VERSION !!

  • Soldier... clean my boots !!

  • Jesus. You did a fantastic job on this! This might be one of the best versions of this song on the internet. Your instrument selection is spot on!

  • "Wait he says, do I look like a waiter." 0.0

  • This theme is, in my opinion, more powerful than Those Chosen by the Planet but however not more powerful than One Winged Angel.

I like both villains alot but I prefer Kefka over Sephiroth. No hate towards any of them.

  • @Ganguplanku With One Winged Angel...it was very deep and dark designed to bring to mind a hellish chorus. It's got lyrics to it which are sung in Latin it's one of my favorite boss songs...but Kefka's theme is designed to be simplistic and memorable (part of it because of the music capabilities in games at the time) as well as kind of circusy because of how Kekfa looks. So I agree...and sorry I'm a smidge of a Final Fantasy Nerd.

  • I understand hating the excessive love Sephiroth gets from fans, but why hate Sephiroth himself? He's not THAT bad of a villain. He has no real motives, true, but I never bothered looking for human motives because I never really considered him a human. He's a freak born of alien DNA, carrying on his weird alien mother's sole purpose. He wanted to destroy because he felt it was his nature. He's cooler than Golbez, anyway.

Great work, by the way. 2nd best FF6 re-orchestrated song I've heard.

  • @RonaldMcDickFace @RonaldMcDickFace 'no real motives' kind of kills it for me. There's a time and a place for motive-less villains...and that's NEVER at the top of the heap at the end of the game.

And Golbez was a letdown, I agree. He was okay, if stereotypical, up until the 'O im ur brothr, all my sin r forgivn, deth to reel baddy ha' moment. Massive eye-roll. But I always felt that Cecil's torment and characterization was what made even the badly translated FFII US a good game.

  • @danyetman Hmm. Well what do you think of Terra, from FF6? I'd argue that Sephiroth's reaction to himself is the same as Terra's when she first finds out she's part esper. In the end Terra just accepted herself, and chose to do good, whereas Sephiroth chose to do evil, or rather didn't choose or accept anything. He never made it past the stage of reasoning that he could be better than himself. I mean Kefka is simply crazy/altered, right? I'd argue Sephiroth is basically in the same mental state.

  • @alex3ff4rly Terra is different because she starts out knowing NOTHING about herself aside from her name, and it is her journey of self-discovery that makes her a worthwhile character. Her self-terror is viable because of her youth and gentle personality. Sephiroth was a professional asskicker, who had a narcissistic view of the world even before he went nucking futs. No comparison. Seph is a joke because he IS a stereotype. Terra's growth as a person mitigates hers.

  • @danyetman Best conversation ever...just thought I'd put this here...Kefka is my fave baddy...but Seph wasn't that bad.

  • @Arella17 Seph wasn't bad at all, these people are morons.

  • @W0BN1AR Wow. Way to be a bitch for us having our opinions. Now, if you would be so kind...GET THE FUCK OFF MY LAWN.

  • @W0BN1AR I have to say though Sephiroth still can't be considered one of the greatest Final Fantasy Villains. He's kind of a generic Shounen villain then again the characters in FFVII were all generic Shounen characters with no real depth. Except Aerith who is a generic Shoujo heroine (self sacraficing innocent yet stoic in a way). FFVI had more thought out characters that while still fit alot of stereotypes had their own personalities and reasons for their actions. Though 10 was the best game.

  • @danyetman

well when you think about, her character didn't have anything to do but grow. She basically started her life when the game started and the slave crown was removed. Before that she was a will-less doll.

And Sephiroth is a oke. All he ever did was burn down a village and summoned a meteor.

  • @stinkypitz0005 Oh yeah. Because everyone summons meteros and burns down villages. An murders people. And plans to destroy a planet to travel the cosmos to search for an interstellar being.

  • @alex3ff4rly Kefka's motives aren't just "he's crazy". I figured it's that he's a nihilist, he sees life as meaningless outside of momentary pleasure. He takes pleasure from power/other's pain. Once he becomes all powerful and can destroy anything he wants, he's like "there's no place to go but down so I'm just going to go out with a bang". He thinks it's ok to destroy everything because everything's meaningless.

My big issue with Seph is that I never really got what he's after or why.

  • @alex3ff4rly They're not in the same mental state- Sephiroth is calm and calculating. This is a major reason why the "no real motives" thing bugs me about him- someone capable of arranging the chess pieces that well should have a motive past simply just being crazed.

Kefka is erratic, doing whatever he feels inspired to do at the spur of the moment. Most of the great plan was Ghestal's brainchild, and the eventual betrayal was done on Kefka's whim.

    Two completely different mentalities.

  • @kamikaze9699 I agree I mean Kefka poisons an entire fortress to win a battle just because he could.

  • WOW, this song sends shivers down my spine. Wonderful arrangement!

  • Kefka and Joker should share their thoughts on what their worlds were like.

  • Don't know why every FFVI soundtrack video I go to has to have the top comments spoiled thanks to blatant VI fanboys that give the game a bad name and are ironically worse than the FFVII fanboys they claim are so awful.

  • @JudgeMagisterDelita Don't know why every FFVI soundtrack video I post has to have the comments spoiled by blatant VII fanboys who can't accept that not everyone else shares their bizarre desire to be the ass-monkey of a really lousy villain character.

  • @danyetman lol @ your trolling attempt. I like VI, it's not my fault that people like you have to make sure that they have to hate other games just because people like them. I'm not even a huge VII fan. I've only beaten it once and liked it, just as I like every Final Fantasy game (except for FFX).

  • @JudgeMagisterDelita Glad you enjoyed it. Now GET THE FUCK OFF OF MY LAWN.

  • @danyetman Good sir, I believe that the age requirement to make a youtube account is 13 (so about 5 years older than you are). Come back when you are older and maybe you can understand that some people have differing opinions than yourself and that the world doesn't revolve around what you think.

  • @JimmyNeutronsDad Your world does not revolve around my thoughts, true. Mine does. Narcissism? Assuredly. Egotism, self-centricity? Without a doubt.

But why is it that my opinions are the 'bigoted' ones? Opinions are opinions.

For the record, I'm 25, and my opinion is that you can get the FUCK OFF MY LAWN as well (although you do win some small measure of my appreciation for your pseudo-English opening of 'good sir'. It has style.)

  • @JudgeMagisterDelita Why wouldn't you like FFX? I just want to know your reasoning was it the voice acting, the story, the characters, Tidus' voice acting (Not a big fan of James Arnold Taylor)

  • I love the mallet instrument at the beginning, but what is it exactly?

  • @SchiamaShade1 That is a marimba.

  • @danyetman really? it seems to resonate more than a marimba, but maybe it's just different from the one that I play, or it sounds different on the recording.

  • @SchiamaShade1 It's doubled by a solo flute; that may explain it.

  • 0:38 - 1:02 was the best part of the song, and the other orchestral versions cut it out. That's why I love this version.

  • @RuggedSavior How is that possible?! That's THE main leitmotif of the character!

  • This is very cool and all, but why is there applause at the end? Was this a recording of a live orchestra performance?

  • @vanillacokejunky You could always read the description.

  • By remake this I mean the game itself

  • @Neojester15 I know. It's still heresy.

  • They should never remake this...it would lose all appeal

  • @Neojester15 Heresy!

  • Ahem.... THERE'S SAND IN MY BOOTS

  • @Animerocker237 Yes, Sir! all set, Sir!

  • I love Kefka and seymour, they´re my faves, do you wanna know why?

Complete dissregard for any single form of life but themselves, I get big chills at the part where kefka poisons an entire city, and the part where seymour just nonchalantily admits he killed his father.

  • Why haven't they considered a Final Fantasy III/VI remake yet??

  • @travisw001 Because, my dear chap, for some godawful reason, there is an overwhelming hue and cry from the putrescent acne-studded, bespectacled otaku mob for "MOAR SEFIROHT". Maybe it's the shiny silver hair and girlish good looks that make him look like a post-op tranny. Maybe it's the giant penis extension swords rampant throughout. Or it could be that the overwhelming mass stupidity prevents a good plot from overcoming Tifa's (badly rendered and low-polygon) 3D boobs. My $ is on that one.

  • @danyetman Well put, the best thing ever heard about the Post-op tranny.

  • @danyetman LoL! Well said

  • @travisw001 how abou remake all 1 - 9

  • Kefka was easily the best baddie Final Fantasy ever had, with, yeah, Sephiroth in a close second. But, damn, this theme sums it up pretty well. He had depth, and the one thing that elevates him for me is the fact that he was just a man. He wasn't some monster or he accumulated sin of mankind; he was just an awful human being.

    And a near perfect villain.

Great piece here, and thank you for uploading. Greatly appreciated.

  • @tonystark106422

sorry but I'd have to put Sephiroth as #4 my top 5 are as follows.

    1. Kefka

    2. Kuja

    3. Golbez

    4.Sephiroth

    5.Seymour

  • @Animerocker237 golbez isn't the villain in ff4. zemus is. he mind controlled golbez who mind controlled kain. it's a system of a mind altering fuck fest lol

  • @tonystark106422 Did you know that Kefka was the firs human to be infused with Magitek? O course he gained the ability to weild magic, but the imperfect process warped his mind and made him into a nihilistic psychopath. Isn't that similar to Sephiroth, who's fetus was injected with JENOVA cells, essentially creating the perfect soldier? Didn't he go mad when he discovered how he was created? If you ask me they're both pretty similar.

  • @julienlego Not similar at all - Kefka slowly grew more and more twisted, and he was actually kind of funny at first before slo-o-o-o-owly transitioning into "Wow, he's kind of sick" and then into "What a bastard" and then into "HOLY SHIT HE JUST DESTROYED THE WORLD". Sephy was just a weak-minded little schvuntz who couldn't take it. He went from "Supposed badass" to "wussy little momma's boy" to "Oh, give me a break. That's just STUPID".

  • @danyetman based on your logic, all people who have mental breakdowns are "wussy little momma's boys." Do you really have the right to say that?

  • @julienlego I'm talking about a fictional character, mate. Perhaps if there'd been some real character development done with Mr.-look-at-my-pecs-and-giant-sword, where he slowly starts spiraling downhill from the knowledge of his creation, but there wasn't. He went from "noble dude with a dark streak" to "let's kill everyone wakka-wakka-wakka-spork-stab".

    Not very impressive.

  • @danyetman Characters in FF games aren't designed so the player believes that they're fictional and don't abide to human behavior and psychology. These characters, even if they're part of a game, are believable humans in a fantasy setting. How Sephiroth behaves, his attitude, are genuinely human. And he went through a dramatic transformation when learning of his true origins. The character development is very well done regardless of knowing him more (since he's a secondary character and all).

  • @julienlego Eh, I disagree with your opinion on Sephiroth's actions. In my opinion, he is a stereotypical 'cool anime villain'. He's made a little bit more legitimate by killing Aerith, but not much. But that's okay - you can stick with your opinion, and I'll stick with mine. I have always preferred villains who are a bit kooky, but who can keep shocking you with how low they will go. It's a juxtaposition thing.

  • @danyetman Most "cool anime villains" aren't as well developed as Sephiroth. Trust me, I'd know. Still, he's pretty close to that stereotype. Though I doubt Square-Enix had that intention. They're better at character design than the regular stereotypes (there are exceptions, but KH and FF characters aren't included).

  • Dude, add a download link. This is fantastic!

  • @Noke0 Done.

  • @danyetman Oh my dear, thank you so much.

  • Dude, you did a great fucking job here. absolutely loved it. please do more FF6 and 4 arrangement's as well. PLEASE!

  • Add a download link? :3

  • @ryokoshii Done.

  • @danyetman

    thank you ^_^

  • This is impressive. Thanks for posting it.

  • @kvol123 Thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

  • This needs more views! The only time this theme is done right on the orchestra!

  • @IoriYoshi1 Glad you liked it.

  • Great !!

  • Do more of these, this was actually really good.

  • @MegaMonkie Try these:/watch?v=RPIa7GGRulE and /watch?v=d5qt5ajM8ow
