I have an itouch 4g and heres my problem: I turn it off and follow the steps for putting the device into DFU mode, but then when the steps are over I get a message that says "No device detected. You probably misunderstood the directions." I know I didn't misunderstand the directions because I literally tried this 75 times. PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP ME! Thank you

@MsCod5wii I had to uninstall/reinstall iTunes, reboot, and retry. I was having the problem with a 4g and so I decided to try and jailbreak my old 2g, ran into the same problems. Windows doesn't have the driver for DFU mode, hence why I had to reinstall iTunes. It was frustrating to find out, but it worked

Does anybody ever record these live as they jailbreak? they all seem to have already been jailbroken and they just show redsnow doing its thing. My ipod 4 is getting in dfu mode, i can tell cause the screen is off and takes a while to comeback on, but redsnow and greenpoison say "no device"

@dragoncure08 it meens that you can reboot your divice en stil can use cydia. whit a thertered jailbreak you cant use cydia after reboting, then you first need to reboot it whit redsnow on your computer
