  • Ignoring for the moment the the victors in most conflicts write the history books, this series is fairly balanced for its time period and the information sources available in the early fifties..

  • I like the Victory at Sea films. Naval Aviation has a long history over the past 75 years. My father did his time at sea. Happy Veterns Day to all who served.

  • That carrier shown at 1:10 must have been that secret one off Essex class carrier that had it's island on the port side-I had heard about it, 1st time I have seen footage of it :P

  • That might be film that was shown reversed. That could be how the myth arose--people seeing film clips of reversed images. I've researched this because it intrigued me, and I can't find any mention of a port side island on any US carrier. As far as I can tell, only the Hiryu and Akagi were completed this way.

  • American propoganda

  • Propoganda?

How can you determine if it is propaganda, if you can even spell propaganda?

Learn to write for God's sake!!!!

  • JulianByng, I think you meant "...if you can't..." Learn some grammar for god's sake.

  • Touche. But I'll take my can('t) over your propoganda anyday. ;)

  • @18seki many of the shows are soley based on the English or Russians with no mention of America.

  • @18seki I love how you ignored all the episodes glorifying other countries.

Besides, its not like the US is the only country in the world that makes propaganda videos.

You are no all that bright are ya, little boy?
