Think this is an earlier version of Mind Games, before he had finished the song structure and the lyrics. If you listen at the end of Mind Games where he holds the long note for "love" then follows up with "I want you to make love not war" as the song as fading out... maybe this was the 'Mind Games' sequel ... which potentially questions the motive behind his message, if it is all just in fact mind games.
