I bought the HK Legends DVD version of The Protector thinking it was the HK Version. But it was the American version. Does anyone know where I can get the HK version of this movie?
No. Island of Fire is sometimes called The Prisoner, not Protector. However, a recent Tony Jaa movie was also called The Protector int he USA - that is Tom Yum Goong, also known as The Warrior King.

is unrealistic considering that it hits nothing? I mean its cool, but its hard not to notice that it wouldn't tumble like that unless it hit something...

This was chans second attempt to break into the american film market after battlecreek brawl.
Personally i prefer Jackie's movies where he is directing and chorographing, e.g police story, project a, armour of god and dragons forever!

jc's hk releases are much better than international releases. i prefer his way of editing, directing and overall approach to filming.
