  • it had a crack in it and i glued it....haha ahaa? why did she laugh i don't know

  • What the shinks did you watch?

  • i like the peeler and i like the video

  • Great job,Jane! You need more credit for your contribution to the show!.

Eric, I've heard that you can also dry the fruit in the oven at 170 degrees with the oven door open a little so the moisture can escape. When you have lots of fruit your dehydrator gets crowded- it's an option.

  • @3344utube i have heard about using the oven as well. thanks for that, eric.

  • gonna try it with blue berries

  • @ToFierce2handle have never tried that. you can freeze blueberries easily on a cookie sheet.

  • I want that!

  • @jeanineadele the apple peeler corer is great. fun to use. eric.

  • I have one of them

    And I love it

  • doggies! \o/

  • That apple peeler is certified badass

  • I have a dehydrator that I really enjoy. I just wonder how much effect it has on the electricity bill. I usually run mine about 16 hours.

  • Fun video! I just sent you a message asking you a question, that has to do with your kitchen. Thanks!

  • that peeler is awesome

  • After the apples or what ever fruit you dry are finished!hows the best way to store them in a bag in your cabinetor in the ice box?

  • there is a suction cup on the bottom but you need a laminate or stone counter.

  • Well I was Amish, and we used a non-electric vat... Just trying to find one now.

  • Okey this has a beat, not to sleepy. I am ready to watch this

  • Beautiful dogs. I've just ordered today a new Excalibur Food Dehydrator...can't wait until it gets here!

  • Great Video! And excellent find on your dehydrater. If you are buying large quanting of delicious apples, you can store them for a much longer period of time by placing them in a vaccum pack bag along with silca gel oxygen remober. Those vaccum packed bags should last several years if kept below 85 degrees, and out of the sunlight. Tip: sprinkle a little cinnimon on the apples before you dehydrate them. Yummy!

  • Try dipping them in pineapple juice before you dry them

  • @alf3553 That sounds really good alf. Do you use fresh pinapple juice or will canned juice work ?

  • @mukwah1111When drying the apples and bananas I like to use frozen pineapple concentrate , the vitamin C in the juice keeps the fruit from turning brown and it adds a little sweetness. It does not give the fruit a pineapple taste. I peel the fruit slice it thin( 1/8 - 1/4 inch ). Then soak it in the juice for 2 - 5 minutes and place on the dehydrator trays sprinkle apples with a little cinnamon and dry oven night. The bananas are great if you soak them for 5 minutes , but it's like candy.

  • @alf3553 Thanks so much "Alf ! I really appreciate it. ! All the best ! Cheers !

  • i want one of those peelers haha they look awesome

  • that thing that "accondioned" it...where can i get one of those?

  • where can i get that gizmo?

  • This is an awesome video,I got my dehydrator just the same way,at a yard sale ...... now I am going to make my own apples.....My nephews are going to love this....

  • thats a cool gizmo

  • to prevent the apples from browning you should spritz them with a little bit of lemon juice.

    just a suggestion.

  • great video. Thank you

  • i love dried strawberries but are pretty pricey, maybe i try makin my own...

  • I knew I should have kept my dehydrator...ugh.

  • i picked up ours at a tag sale or maybe you can find on on eBay? thx, eric.

  • exactly xD

  • Where can I find recipes to use up my dried apple? Thanks!

  • you can eat it as a snack.

  • Hi Guys! I LOVE seeing your dogs having such a great time together. So playful & natural for them to be free like that with the security of you guys. I also have that apple peeler & use it to make pies with. Its also great for doing up the apples for sauce. And I have a dehydrator like yours as well but its back in Ontario. Here, I have to dry apples in the oven on low. Check out my canning vid on preserves, etc to raise funds for our local strays. Shine on !!

  • thanks for the note. always fun to hear from people. come check out our viewer forum at our site. some fun people there. thx, eric.

  • awesome!
