This beautiful MUSIC STYLE that the great Lumane Casimir performed so graciously is called MERINGUE, the original music of Haiti. This tune is a SLOW MERINGUE.
Haiti, Haiti, Haiti, Land of the LEVITES; THE MOST HIGH YAH has heard the sound of Your Soul. Prepare to meet Thy God, YHWH ELOHE TZEVAOT, and Repossess the LAND promissed to our Forefathers Abraham, Yisaac and Ya'akob. Be Blessed, Peace and Shalom,
For those of you who want to know her story, do a search for "Carole Demesmin -Lumane Casimir" song. She told her story in that song. Hope that was helpful.
Wow this is for the first time in my life I get a chance to see Lumane. Wow songs like that gave a big push to our haitian music. Her voice and her singing style are immortal. If someone is not appreciative enough to see that, I feel sorry, cause they must be blind our stupid.
pouki sa li pa bel lan , paske po li pa kle li , paske li pa gen nen pwente ....nou menm ayisyen nou pa konn apresye bote yon fanm nwa...You are still stick with that european image that we have to compare ourselves too. She is a gorgeous black woman , she doesnt have to have european features to look good.

Merci anpil, Lumane. Voix ou ap toujou rezoner ni lan tete nou, ni lan coeur nou...
