as a longtime Bach lover my only constructive

comment is that the 8th notes at the end of each bar could sound a little more like pickups into the following bar...right now it's a bit " bum bee dum dum.."

and the phrases aren't quite flowing in the long line sense...they sound like short phrases a bit on their own...

but again, please take this as a very gentle suggestion...

Hi Jesse,

It is hard to give feedback because you are so much more accomplished than I am. The one point I would emphasize, and mentioned by others is the pulse of the piece. While the tempo is not something I would now about, a dance needs a consistent tempo and there are several places where the fingering is tricky and you lose the consistent tempo. Beautiful piece though and I always enjoy listening to you play.

lovely consistent tone, and the instrument suits you. Some of the shorter notes seem to last a bit too long, distorting the pulse of the music; you might want shorten them, or find some other way of articulating them. Also do a bit of research to see what tempo and pulse a gigue would be danced in Bach's time, even although it's not for certain that anyone would dance to this rather abstract music.

If you start in the second position, the string noise from your shift at 0:03, which spoils the phrasing, would be removed. There are a couple of other places where this kind of thing happens as well.

Hey Jesse, nice playing....BUT

I didn't really enjoy it...you techinque is good and clean but your feeling was not quiet Baroqueish...it sounded like an amatuer baroque preformance and don't quiet suit your level of abillity that we already heard. Somthing with the tempo, the sharpness of the notes...

I know it's not quiet mainstream what just my opnion...:P
