  • Jamesrogerwilliams would not you wish revenge on the people who defeated you last war? I would! Most germans didnt fight for nazizm but for the german people!

  • HIJMS Fuso, sunk during Battle of Surigao Strait by US Battleships and Destroyers 25th Oct 1944

    1,900 dead, no survivors

  • The Gen. Belgrano was a Brooklyn class ex-American light cruiser.

  • Great Videos, but on this 1 there is 1 Battleship you are defenately leaving out...

1 Name Comes To Mind.... IJN Yamato Super Battleship.

  • well the 1st one isnt sad its the right move, cuz the germans with theyre dumb hitler... if he wasnt there they would be dead

  • damn it! its so sad!!!

  • Sorry I meant Prince of waves was a powerful ship, it could beat the DKM Bismark in mins. I didn't know it sunk, oh well nothing but a lots of ships sinking to the ocean floor and resting in peace. Shall the souls of the people who died rest in peace.

  • Prince of waves was one of the ships

  • Olypmic did not sink she was old in 1935 so white star line (or who ever it was) thought of taking the ship apart and leave it there in rest in peace. Titanic yes, we can say she sank, but you forgot one Britannic, HMHS Britannic.( Remember Sir Ismay said that he was going 3 biggest ships in the whole world. And Ismay did what he said.)

  • mom i have to go put hearts in fucking 3 people cuase there assholes who dont HAVE A DAMN HEART DAMN PEOPLE WAHT THE HELL IS WRONG WIT U

  • Good Work man!

  • remember the "Belgrano" rip mates

  • @parisboy92

the General Belgrano was a heavy cruiser not a Battleship

  • @snakes3425 who cares it gone and sad

  • @snakes3425 May I ask where you get your information from? Also, maybe instead of the Arizona in Lost Ships II, I would have said you put the S.S Mont-Blanc: A french munitions ship that caused the Halifax Explosion

    Never forget

  • Just Wonder Where You Got The Close Up Picture Of The Crew Members Onboard The HMS Prince of Wales

  • HMS prince of wales at my country!!

  • Graf Spee was sunk on the River Platte (World War II's only naval battle in South America - it was technically in Uruguayan waters, not Argentina). The one suicide was Captain Langsdorff, who ordered the scuttling of his ship to prevent it being surrendered to the British forces. A brave man he could not stand the fate that would await him in Nazi Germany for doing what he did (Hitler preferred his forces fighting and dying to the last man).

  • I'm happy for that last ship, because no one died when it sank! Joy! :D

But sorry for the ship itself....

  • You are making all these vids very exellent, good quality and stuff. I'd galdly sub you!

  • The Graf Spee in the River Plate, Argentina, scuttled by it's crew.

  • They only way they can to life now is in games, where their full glory can be displayed. I know that they were mean to be war machines, but still there is something about being able to see your enemy miles away in a naval gunfight that modern geeks with computers will never experience. Maybe that is why modern naval warfare is so much less direct and unemotional, You have an easier time dealing with the consequences of war when you do not experience them first hand.

  • the prince of wales was such a waste too, the british sent it to counter japense lands in the malaysia. her and another ship were basically sacrificed for no reason.

  • what is kinka cool i think, i saw on a yahoo news headline, that the country that the graf spee sunk off of, they are planning to raise the ship, it sunk in shallow waters . they plan to raise it and make it a ww2 museum.

  • @Stu44121, the Graf Spee snak off Argentina or Chile (I am not sure which one now). That could be great for maritine history.

  • Actually it was Uruguay

  • @snakes3425, you are right. Whoops, my bad.

  • What condition is she in? Most shallow wrecks don't fair too well.

  • I guess you forgot the USS Arizona..1,177 crew members lost out of a 1,700 total ships compliment. The Arizona should have been first on the list. "A proud Navy Vet"

  • I didn't forget, I'd already used the Arizona in my Lost Ships II Video

  • Comment removed

  • @cavscout117 is it possible to raise it i hope they dont for the souls but is it possible since its only in 40 ft of water?

  • @TheGodzillarules

It's illegal to raise it, since it's a war grave

  • You never know the lost, untill you have served on a ship.

  • You really like Sleeping Sun do you?

  • These is the gretest son ever.

  • @TheZuikaku, yeah is great song for this theme. But is overused a lot as well.

  • where did you found the sinking of the prince of whales?

    mrflippycat

  • Awesome tribute video, great images and soundtrack.

    Very well done.

    Thanks for posting.

    A Proud US Navy Veteran!

    *****

  • u r a veteran??

  • I'm so happy for the HMS Audacious!

No one perished when it sunk! JOY! =D

Although, sorry for the ship itself.

  • I believe the Audacious was actually assisted by RMS Olympic while she was sinking.

  • Remember the Maine!

  • You have done a awesome job here my friend :)

  • Not bad. You did a really good job, but I really think you should have considered including:

    HMS Royal Oak

    IJN Kirishima

    IJN Yamato

    IJN Musashi

    DKM Bismarck

    IJN Kongo

Some of these were considered, right?

  • they're probably in other videos.

  • My Lost Ships Videos are actually a series, I've included Bismarck and Yamato in my first Lost Ships video and the Musashi in the second, I have yet to include Kongo, Kirishima, and Royal Oak, in any Lost Ships video, I had planned on having Royal Oak in this one but I ran out of space

  • Oh... sorry. I saw this vid before the others, so I didn't know.

(BTW, if you want another idea for a ship tribute video, here's one:

Samar: The Last Stand of the Tin Can Sailors)

  • @snakes3425

The IJN Tone Class Cruisers were pretty interesting ships as well.

  • You've just earned another subscriber. I love this video it's very important to me for it shows alote of sad ships lost.

  • The Admiral Graf Spee..the 1 suicide was the captain, he could not go home with the knowledge to be responible for the destruction of his ship...he was found on the german war flag, he shot himself.

  • Wheres battleship Kongo?

  • Maltray your fricken awsome at your description!

  • I love the video and the song

  • HMS Hood sunk in combat with Bismarck during the Battle of the Denmark Strait on 24 May 1941 at 63°22′N 32°00′W / 63.367°N 32°W / 63.367; -32

    1,415 dead, 3 survivors

  • so there were 1,417 ppl on board?

  • 1,418 was the Hood's compliment

  • Damn you description is awesome dude.. R.I.P to the battleships crew.

  • How Could the Heil Have losses if it was scuttled?

  • They were the casualties Hiei suffered in the battle

  • right evan if they scuttled it they would have taken casualties in the fighting.

  • good, but don't EVER put down the Battleships, most curise missiles would find it hard to do serious damage to them.

  • wheres scharnhorst??

  • I already did Scharnhorst in my first lost ships video. I have a policy of never using the same ship twice in my Lost Ships Videos

  • heres the total deaths of 1 2 and 3(a shocking 35,979 O_O rip all of you

  • Titanic's sister ship Olympic Tried to save HMS Audacious when it was clear that Audacious was doomed Olympic launched her own life boats to rescue the crew.

  • wasant prince of wales the 1 that fought next 2 hood in the battle of the denmark strait (hood vs bismarck)

  • This is a great series of videos! I like to see them and discover new ships and check their story over the net. Thank you!

  • no HMS royal oak?

    a truly forgotten ship.

sunk in 1939 by a daring u-boat attack in scapa flow , the roayl navies main fleet anchorage during the two world wars.

  • I wanted to include Royal Oak, but I ran out of time

  • Thank you for posting this video it is like a memorial to me all your videos are like the greatest on youtube. I subscribed by the way ^-^.

  • I think I have to say that flying is far safer that an ocean cruise. Why after so much time and technological advances do they still build them like they do, isn't there a better way? I'm a scuba diver for over 20 years and I have done many wreck dives some at depths that I'm lucky to have survived (youth lol) I have gotten that strange feeling on the wrecks where great loss of life was involved, the cold chill and I KNOW I have seen things on several occasions. no space left

  • great vid and music thanx

  • Awsome videos, I like the song.

  • who sings that song???

  • nightwish

  • thanks, i dint expect the fast response.

  • Anytime

  • Where is the HMS Hood battlecruiser?

  • The Hood is in my first lost ships video.

  • CHECK OUT MY SHIP VID!

  • Will you do a vid of lost aircraft carriers?

  • why is the IJN Yamato not included here?! The USS Missouri formed part of the most feared battleships!

  • It is a vid of lost battleships

  • Because I already used Yamato in my first Lost Ships Video

  • O_o

  • was the german mine an accident?

  • Not that I'm awhere of

  • O_o

    you dont care!?!?!?!?!?

  • The Kongo class cant really be called 'Treaty Battleships', they were reconstructed and reclassified Super Dreadnaught Battlecruisers.

  • Interesting video with some shots that I hav'nt seen before. Did I miss Hood and Repulse or have you dealt with them in another video?

  • I've done Hood in my first Lost Ships Video, and a seperate video. I haven't done Repulse yet.

  • Excellent! A nice memorial to the men who crewed their nation's ships. While you can debate the relative technological merits until the she sun goes down, you can never forget that it was the crew that made these ships great. May they rest in peace.

  • Trivia Quiz:

There was a naming trend between U.S. , Britian, & Germany:

    what were they?

  • very good vids, do you know what your next lost ships vid will be about

  • Ocean Liners

  • Many destroyers of the navies of those nations were also named after famous naval officers. For example HMS Hardy, USS Fletcher and German Navy Destroyer (Z 20) Karl Galster... Maybe that tendency could also be called a naming trend... Please correct me if I'm wrong...

  • Dude, at least your info about Prince of Wales is far more accurate than Krazytom's.....I just posted on his clip before I saw yours!

  • i love your videos ! keep the musick

  • Very good info

But the tirpitz was not a fast battleship but a Normal size for the Kreigsmarine

  • Tirpitz have a speed of around 31 knots. I think thats fast for such a big ship. And it was the biggest battleship of the Germanys "Kriegsmarine".

  • Dude i think you forgot the Bismark!

    DUH!but sill a great vid.

  • I didn't forget it, I've already included Bismarck on my first Lost Ships video, and made a seperate video for her.

  • Good video ! 5 *

    Thanks,Snakes 3425 !

  • Incidently, who was that US Navy Officer in that painting at 2:10ish, in the part about USS Oklahoma?

  • Ensign John England, who went back into the capsized Oklahoma to rescue men trapped in the radio room. He rescued three, but lost his own life trying to save a fourth.

  • Thanks. I must say, rather a handsome chap, isn't he?

  • Great video!

  • Can anyone tell me what is scuttled?

  • It means a ship is sunk by it's own crew.

  • Ok! Thanks... Aldo I have a Portuguese/English-English/Portuguese dictionary some sinonyms are difficult to find...

  • great video once again! i am looking forward for a tribute to ARA GENERAL BELGRANO

  • Well, if were honest, ARA General Belgrano would be under Cruisers, as she was laid down as USS Phoenix, incidently one of the survivors of the attack on Pearl Herbour.

  • Great video. Some of HMS Audacious crew were rescued by the Olympic.

  • The Olympic is the ship the last two photos of this video were taken from
