And there he is again at the kitchen table. This is why I respect him. He doesn't need a huge ass slanted desk or expensive tools. My kinda artist. I use nuetral colors with my work but if I don't I always do crayola pcils and wtrmrkrs, I can wonders with that stuff. This guy has so much respect for being mercilessly dissrespected imo.

i guess it's jealousy. that's what i honestly think. they think "if he can do it why can't i"? in most people's opinion he's not the best artist so when they look at his art they feel like they're the ones that should be drawing professionally, not him. at least that's why i think people don't like him. i personally admire the guy for his art, hard work, and personality, but what do i know right?

yea totally. That or the fact that he has no talent, has no concept of basic human anatomy, cant meet a deadline to save his life, and thinks that every comic cover should have guys with ridiculously big autonomically incorrect muscle structure, Guns the size of nuclear warheads, swords, feathered hair and plump firm mens asses. Not too mention his supper awesome creative character designs such as ShatterStar's three pony tails not one not two but three. So yea, theres a lot to hate.

to each their own man. i still don't understand how you can hate someone just for all those things though, it doesn't make any sense. regardless of his talents or work habit, he is still a good person and means well, not to mention he doesn't effect your life besides you just hating him. what i'm trying to say is anyone can just point out your flaws and say basically the same thing about you, the only difference being rob never tried to bring anyone down.

I like many people who read comics in the 90's remember all the shit he put us through. Nonstop deadline delays, swiped art and plagiarism, He is the one that bastardized Marvel with heros reborn and made frank miller never return! we could've have had more frank miller Daredevil if it hadn't been for Liefeld.

frank was gonna do his own thing anyway, as with everyone else (including leifeld) he wasn't exactly satisfied with how marvel treats it's writers/artists. as for the alan moore thing, saying you're a better writer (whether true or not) isn't considered putting someone down. marvel was, is, and forever will be a business, it's always been about the money although some quality stuff has come through most was recycled garbage before rob was even born.

@NorseRonin Exactly, I met him at the 96 SDCC and he is a really nice guy, basically drew me the entire Youngblood team in my sketchbook and since it was kinda slow at his booth we talked for a while

Not to mention the fact that he is one of the founders of Image Comics!

Plus, when he was working for Marvel, he created DEADPOOL, CABLE, and X-FORCE!

Rob is truly one of the greats and anybody who says otherwise doesn't know anything about comics!

I have been reading comic books since 1995 when I was twelve and have been a comic fan ever since!

Plus I am an art student and can see Rob's unique art talent and style!

I love Liefelds older work...... actually right about when he stopped drawing Youngblood I thought he was in his prime. It seemed for a while there that he was really pushing himself in new ways.... Now his stuff just seems like hit, and miss...... I don't Know... I'm still a fan though.

lieeld does have good art but hes to hit and miss some of his stuff is decent but for the most part the dude cant draw the human body all that well he always leaves out feet if he has the chance, but hey hes got more money than i'll ever see.

tip for everyone:copy your drawing and ink the copied piece then copy the inked and used the inked copy to do your coloring its a bit tedius but it helps me

have a few versions :pencils inked coloerd and lettered you will see your process

His extreme action scenes are good for what they are.

But his storytelling lacks and every time he has to draw someone out of costume its crap (if he even does that). Also his characters have only to facial expressions piss and super piss, to tell a story thats not going to cut it.

Thats why as a comic book artisr he doesnt cut it.

As a pin up artist of dinamic extreme characters he is on par withg Jim Lee.
