OK! the lyrics "ass against the record machine" was the original lyric for the song, but back in the 80's it wouldn't get air play with "ass" in the song so on the record they changed the lyric so it would get air play. In the "old days" a record machine, or jukebox, was used to play records. The lyric "I got my ass against the record machine" simply means he's standing against the jukebox with his back or "ass" resting on the jukebox.
