@FOFOMARTINEZ not its not... everyone leves there shoulder behind... this guy is kicking flat footed and hes turning his body to far, ur ment to turn your hip, not your whole body...you supposed to still have u face looking at youropponent, ready to see and block and counter... if u turn away like this, u will get countered.
@FOFOMARTINEZ Actually, I've been taught the same way that Moderm101 has been taught. You torque the body to increase the velocity and power. When you don't torque the torso and you just throw the hips and don't pivot (albeit, this guy did pivot), you don't get as punch power. This kick actually more closely resembles a Muay Chaiya kick.
@Ronnock all i am saying is that everytime you kick is better if you keep your hands up i wasnt talking about the hips movement just about the hand almost everybody teach to drop your hand when u kick but i dont think thats the right way
@FOFOMARTINEZ Sure, it seems like a good idea, but--don't take this the wrong way--what is your backgroun with/in Muay Thai? If the coaches of the professionals--the world champions, not just the scrub professionals--teach the idea of torquing the body with the hand flinging back...there's gotta be something to it, no?
need to point toes and hit with the top of your foot.
just nerdin here

@hckanimatormagic Muay Thai hits with shin, if you hit with the foot it will hurt the kicker. Just nerding a nerder.

@WarriorNakMuay916 What do you mean, in muay thai you're supposed to use the shin bone, that's the key factor to the so called "baseball bat kicks".
chispygato 9 months ago
@chispygato i know u have to use the shin bone but you have to stand on ur toes.im not saying to kick with the toes
WarriorNakMuay916 9 months ago
@WarriorNakMuay916 You're right, sorry I misread, you said "on" your toes. Cheers! :)
