  • Hey there! Have you thought about - fast abs magic (Have a quick look on google cant remember the place now)? Ive heard some awesome things about it and my buddy got amazing 6 pack abs and lost a ton of belly fat with it.

  • Dude, these are star jumps.

  • star jumps sound funner. That's what we call them here in Australia :)

  • The Jumping Jack is one of the most underrated exercises. It is great for both muscular and cardiovascular endurance.

  • what the heck is a star jump??

  • Is every commenter from the UK? In the US we call them Jumping Jacks, Canada calls them Stride Jumps I think

  • @ThexNerd nope we Canadians call them jumping jacks too

  • @reubyjay25 I am mistaken... forgive me sir.

  • Is it true 2 jumping jacks burn 1 calorie? So if I did 1000 I would burn 500 calories?

  • starjumps lol?

  • heard this burns calories, so glad i done 100 of them randomly y.day ;D

  • 7000 jumping jacks burn 1 pound of fat...just saying. ;)

  • lol i read jumping jacks and thought 'what r they again?' they're r fricken STAR JUMPS mate.

  • Jumping Jacks ? gtfo! it good old star jumps

  • I think he explains clearly and confidently. According to what he said, bending your elbows is OK as long as you exercise a full range of motion. So looks like @atlanticoceans19 and @duran3d need to learn to pay better attention.

  • That's a star jump...

  • Star jumps when you bend down and touch the floor with your fingers and then do a 'jumping jack' are more effective and aerobic.

    This guy is a retard.

  • So do not do what u just did. OK!

  • this vid sucks

  • fuck u u suck... this vid is shit... pathetic.. waste of life

  • i thought they were called star jumps

  • @doowopper64 yeah I believe the ones that he's doing are called star jumps too. Jumping jacks are different

  • is it raining in there

  • When I exercise, I breath improperly, put rushness in muscle processing, do wide jumping jacks. Thanks, for uploading the video.

  • expert FAILLAGE

  • Nooooooo he says you shouldn't ONLY bend your elbows :) He doesn't say you shouldn't, he's just saying you should use a full range of motion.

  • why the fuck am i watching this retard

  • how many reps and sets should i do for belly fat loss???

  • @beantownn54

I've lost some belly fat by doing these but I do 240, in 12 sets of 20 reps. But now Im about to kick it up to 25 so I'll be doing 300 jumping jacks a day.

  • why do i find J.jacks so easy???? i feel like im doing them wrong cuz i can easily do 200 in a row

  • @lauralikes

I don't know maybe your body is just adjusted to doing that exercise. I do 240 a day(Soon to be 300), but Im not sure how many i can do in a row. I feel as if doing them in reps is better b/c you are not wearing yourself out in one giant rep. What you should consider is maybe doing 30 jumping jacks as your rep but keep doing set until you can't do them anymore to see how many you could do with breaks in between.

  • Is anyone else wondering who DOESN'T know how to do jumping jacks?

  • jumping jack is very simple but very exhausting exercise.

  • Mr. Elbow Bender explains how you shouldn't bend it at the elbow.

  • @duran3d no retard. He's saying that you should move your shoulders. He never said NOT to bend elbows, if you notice. Learn how to pay attention nub.

  • For the record, being tall sucks. If I try doing these in my own home, I hit my fingers on the ceiling with each jump. :(

  • should i bend my arm or no please help

  • these are STAR JUMPS!

  • *Bends at the elbows*

    *talks, talks, talks*

"Don't bend it at the elbow"

    fail much :D?

  • @AtlanticOceans19 at least he tells you to not bend at the elbows. A good teacher doesn't have to be perfect at execution. Just good at teaching.

  • @AtlanticOceans19 no retard. He's saying that you should move your shoulders. He never said NOT to bend elbows, if you notice. Learn how to pay attention nub.

  • @tbdh hey dude, anyone that comes on youtube this often, and anyone who shows this much aggression, is definitely insecure about who he is. so i doubt you are anyone cool with a great personality, even if you are fit, which no one cares except the trolls.

  • @AnTiScoping i check my email everyday. i get a link to youtube when someone replys. this isnt agression. this is just arguing with some dumbass on youtube. it has its kicks. if uve noticed ive put LOL in half of my comments. ive noticed u also didnt mention the other dude coming onto youtube to reply all the time either. proudpyrochild was a douche for insulting someone first for shits and giggles. i replied nicely. he was a douche after. still is

  • Oh my god all my life I have known this to be a 'star jump'. Oh well now I know.

  • Oh is that how you do a jumping jack? I need to write that down..

  • haha i particularly like that he bends at the elbow himself when he says not to do that. :)

  • redundant

  • fuck ads

  • is jumping jack is good cardio excercise?

  • @slier81 yep it's great for cardio that's the main reason to do them

  • the only reason im watching this is because i found out my PE teacher was a veteran from Vietnam and the war made him psycho so he was teaching me it wrong and now im doing MMA and i was embarrassed

  • Yeah I used to do jumping jacks all the time. 2-300 in a set, I'd do them until my calves couldn't bounce me up anymore lol

  • My question is how you land your feet are they flat when you do them or ? I usually do them with the front part of my feet wondering if thats correct or does not not matter?

  • Now show the jumping jack matrix! Get the movement out of the frontal plane! Have fun with it! :)

  • um... we call these star jumps :S

  • is 100 star jumps a day good cardio

  • @bellyzbad if you want to know what good cardio for you is,search youtube on how to measure your heart rate for cardio

  • @bellyzbad Yeah that would be benificial

  • Thanks! I was so confused, the starting position got me lost. You've really helped me to gain confidence in doing the exercise... Thanks!

  • its so easy even a caveman can do it! :D

  • i currently weigh about 250 hopeing to lsoe 100 lbs i just did 20 jumping jacks then quikly switched to jog and place i did this about 4 x and i was burning is this a good workout i could do 3 times a day?

  • @MattaTatta92 That's what a jumping jack is... you must not be from america lol

  • @bassmzero That's because I'm British, and it's always been a star jump to me

  • @MattaTatta92 lol i thought so. do you call something else jumping jacks over there?

  • @bassmzero I actually do not know. It's likely, since exercise names seem to be interchangeable and are usually only called something that the majority of people remember - hence why I didn't know what a jumping jack was when I saw this video.

  • @MattaTatta92 I see.

  • Kige ramesy does it better

  • try to teach iraqi soliders to do these shit!

  • Hi, do someone know why I can not make more than 15 jumping jacks; I only do 15 (fifthteen) and my heart pulse going up to 130 and I feel really weak, I feel heavy weight, and I start to sweat a lot, with only 15 jumping jacks; I just have 155lbs and 22 years old. Why this can be happening??? Thanks.

  • @josiqvideos2010 I dont know what the problem is with people and jumping jacks, you just gotta roll with it and keep going. Ive seen people who are nearly 300lbs, 6 foot and can do 40 jumping jacks without stopping. Cardio for some reason, its really illusionary. Have you ever gone up the stairs with groceries or ran to the bank without realizing your exercising? Stop thinking to much about the reps you do. Hope this helped, bye.

  • @josiqvideos2010 oyur calfs need more conditioning. Do sets of 100 calf rasies without weight every day.

  • Im 12 years old i can do 4 minuts juming jacks (Record for now)

  • Hi, SuperJump2010 & SuperJumpTwo2010, on YouTube, 4 & 1/2 feet vertical, over 4000 views, amazing videos

  • wait... I thought this is a star jump...

  • It can be substituted. They are all the same, Side straddle hop, jumping jack, star jump. It's all the same motion, but the name varies in different environments.

Such as; the military calls them side straddle hops, and that is what Soldiers understand them as. But a football player would know them as star jumps.

  • @SoldierM7

Are you British? According to Wikipedia, it's called differently in the Commonwealth.

  • I thought you dont bend your elbows and I thought it was called a star jump.

  • Hmm never heard it called that before. just me I guess.

  • Thank you for this video. I have been unable to do jumping jacks for the past 6 years, so I forgot how to do them. I suffer from Spinocerebellar Ataxia.

  • thats called a star jump

  • does anyone else notice that he like bends at the elbows?

  • haha yeah... i noticed that too. what a lame

  • @tbdh But his arms was in motion, causing the bending of the elbow. He said you shouldn't do it by bending at elbow as a step.

  • @tbdh Right after he tells people not too :D, good catch, didn't notice till you said something

  • @tbdh hell yeah he did

  • @tbdh

    yes !!!!  :=(

  • @tbdh doesnt matter unless they are fat like you

  • @ProudPyroChild1 LOL. it does matter slightly since bending your elbows burns less energy. and fyi my body fat percentage is 7.5%. im sure you are fatter than me

  • @tbdh thats y i hate stupid fat americans bc they always take stuff seriously n they think they r skinnyer then everyone else bc i bet u weigh 350 pounds all fat n eat french fries all day long. white bitch

  • Jumping jacks are a very good fatburner.I did 225 in a row when I was in the army

  • thats high

  • @ottvalley good way to lean out and get rid of belly fat?

  • @ottvalley 225 thats nothing

  • @ottvalley

Wahouuuuu !!!! épuisant cet exercice..... ! mdr!

  • @ottvalley OMG!!

  • @ottvalley And you can do it indoors which is also great!

  • @ottvalley I agree, I did 300 in a row before. That took dedication to get to, though.

  • Look at his balls bounce:P lmao

  • That goes for both sexes. Hurr!

  • do you give snowboarding lessons online on your internet youtube channel??

  • I have a question, because I noticed that when I do them, my open position ends up on the balls of my feet. Should the feet be planted each time they hit the ground?

  • lol only 5 I can do like 120.

  • how affective are these if you do them for like 10 mins ?

  • Comment removed

  • thank you, beupea1

  • that my friend isa star jump..as u jump and act like a star..simpless

  • thanks

  • they're called star jumps in australia, would you believe

  • I'm thirteen and I don't know how to do jumping jacks but watching this helps^^

  • i just did a 100 jumping jacks but my heels didnt touch the ground (bare foot)...is that ok?

  • thank you. What does it do? i mean what does this help us in?

  • Jumping jacks are an effective form or cardio exercise. Basically they can be used as an alternative to using cardio equipment such as a stationary bike.

  • does it burn fat?

  • Provided you do enough yes. Any form of cardio is vital to burn fat. A key aspect is to keep you heartrate higher for a period of time, no matter what type of exercise. If your planning to use jumping jacks (or and cardio exercise) I recommend HIIT -High Intensity Interval Training- its a type of exercise where you do a short burst and then a high burst of intensity. For example, 1 minute of low intensity jumping jacks, then 1 minute high intensity jumping jacks..continued for about 20-30 mins.

  • This can be more effective than walking or jogging for 1 hour. Of course if your a beginner to HIIT, don't aim to do 20-30 mins in the first session, as long as you gradually increase the duration as you progress.

  • that would get kinda boring! lol

  • try do that for 5 minutes ;)

  • Im a Marine Corps. Reservist so i know wat its like to do these for five min and the hit the deck and do 20 pushups, then situps, and back too these. By the way the Quarter deck sucks!. You should see Iraqis try to do them! lol!

  • well i listen to music while doing these, it really helps not to get bored and not to give up too quick lol :P

  • so what?

  • @wedingo I Can do it for 4 minuts 12 years old

  • Oh my 20-30 minutes? I only usually do 3-7 minutes at a time. Sounds like I need to work up and do some more.
