  • Does this work with the PS3 drum kit?

  • downloaded the drives, when i plug in drums they do not turn on same thing with a regular controller? please help

  • When I connect the xbox 360 drum set, the xbox light will turn on and almost immediately turn off. After that I check to see if its recognized by the 360 controller driver, junXion, or GamePad Companion and no luck

If someone could me out that'd be awesome!

  • @zerlo If your running on snow leopard send me a message and i will give you a walk-through

  • i have all of your problems the xbox button flashes for 1 sec then goes away no deveices found what the heack :(

  • my usb isnt reading the drums. what do i do

  • Im having the same problem as a lot of other people in this commentary. I have installed the software twice, on two different macs but the software is still not connecting with the plugged in drums. The Xbox button on the drumset is blinking rather then the firm light you would expect. Everyone is talking about this problems in forums on the Internet but does any one got a fix for it?

  • why my mac doesnt found my drum kit?? it only apears nO dEVICES fOUND what can i do??

  • I downloaded all of the software and I open the 360 controllers on my system preferences and it says that no device is found. My drums are connected. What is wrong?

  • @MrChocolateGingers Same here, man.

  • really easy and easy to follow tutorial, but for some reason, the drumset doesn't register on either drives.... :S i installed them both correctly, but all that happens when i plug in the drumset is the xbox connecter light thingy flashes once.... HELP ME!

  • Hey this guy should apply for a job on expert village just needs two days of no slepp and a ton of redbull

  • my computer (10.5.8 osx) isnt recognize the drum even after i installed both softwares... any help would be greatly appreciated.. yes i installed both correctly and restarted

  • @astrovandel same on my i7 macbook

  • ccsasac

  • Thank you! Just found a set like that, and will try to run it in OSX.

    Very best. kwd...

  • I was looking through some of the source code; sadly the creator hasn't released source code for the newest two versions (0.08 and 0.09) but I think the problem is the product id for certain models like the standalone package with just the drums is different. It might be as easy as adding the product id for that model but I'm not sure...

  • @dbuvid I have the same issues. Does anyone know a solution? Could it be a newer version of the drum kit? Seems like this problem only started being posted about for people in the past few months... Any Ideas?

  • PS2 / PS3 kit works !!! got it today.

Reaction is a little delayed - anyone know how to bring it up to real-time?

  • @axamaxam reduce your buffer size in garageband/logic preferences :)

  • i got the two programs but when i plug in the xbox 360 drumkit the xbox controller program will not detect the drumkit

  • same issue here... can't find an answer anywhere yet.

  • drum kit doesnt have the lights on how do i fix it?

  • When I plug my drums into the USB the lights flash on quick and then right back off. It shows up in System Profiler as "Harmonix Drum Kit for Xbox 360" I have the 360 controller driver installed correctly as well. I'm running Snow Leopard but I heard this still works in it. Any suggestions on what I should try?

  • @dbuvid i have the same exact problem

  • yeah drums dont come up on mine either.

  • my xbox 360 drums dont work....please help.. there is no light

  • Are you ok now? I have the same problem.

  • does this work on ps2

  • Great tutorial!!! Is there any way that I could use the wireless rockband kit to run midi(I'm guessing no)?

  • thank you....

  • Excellent video! Thanks for this :)

  • Brilliant!!!

  • Does the program that detects the xbox controller, would it also detect a rockband 2 ps2/3 drum set? and act as if its a xbox drum set?

  • yes it does, ion fact better so.

    you only need gamepad companion

  • does it work with the ion drums? it wont come up

  • Lol can you also do this with GHWT ?? :P

  • Is it possible to do this with the wii drum controllers?

  • yes... its easier on wii

  • I've got both drivers installed on my mac. In the xbox 360 driver panel, the wireless controller can't be detected. Can the set-up only be done with a wired controller? Thanks.

  • you need to have the wireless 'dongle' or whatever it's called plugged into your computer too.

  • There may be a problem trying this with the new portable drum kits for 360 from Harmonix; I can't get GamePad Companion or the XBox Controller driver to find them when I plug the controller into the Mac's USB port. Any ideas?

  • could I do this with the gh4 wii ones

  • Thats awesome. :] Been looking for a video like this. But will this work for PC on Mixcraft?

  • does this work for ps2 rock band drums?

  • Does this work with the Wii ones?

  • are all drums wired?

  • does this work with the PS3 rockband drums? or only xbox?

  • Does the installed software limit you to only certain instruments, or can I use any instrument on my computer in garageband or logic pro 8?

    btw thanks for the video.

  • no cuz garage band is for macs only

  • lol there's two things wrong with that question

  • does this work for tiger

  • and are all the drum kits wired

  • it won't let me open the gamepad thing on my Macbook

  • It shows up as a Control Preference Pane - You find those under System Preferences. Click on the Apple in the top left corner and select System Preferences - then you should see it if you installed it.

  • @balloonkid79 Expert Village anyone?

  • is there ever going to be a latency problem if you use it with logic 8?

  • There will be latency based on the buffer i/o settings in logic, if those are fairly low it should be pretty good (usable). One note the first time you start to use the Caps Lock keyboard in Logic it will be slow if you press play or record it will suddenly get much better - the same thing with Garageband with the musical typing - it seems to be wondering if you are serious about using this to record and straightens out.

  • @CreativitytoSpare can u use ps2 forthe other program not gamepad companion?

  • How do i use the drums with garage band? I can't get them to come up when i open garage band. I downloaded both programs and set up the buttons and everything. What do i do to get the drums in garage band?

  • sweeet.
