Was there and have great memories. On a trip to London a couple of months ago I was saddened to see that the Astoria (and whole block) has been levelled to the ground to make way for train link! What a great venue with many happy nights...
molken is a label owned by wally farkas, formerly of the galctic cowboys. wally has been releasing (with permission of all involved) live performances, rare demos and solo efforts of king's x, galactic cowboys, and individual members...it's a good thing!
Im thinking about ordering this from Molken but im scared I'll be disapointed with the quality of the DVD. they explain that it was taken from hand held video recorder then transferred to DVD (whatever that means). the other thing is that its really short. only 60something minutes. I love the band and want to support them but.....
@molkenmusic I have never managed to see this DVD anywhere, and I've been a huge fan of theirs since the beginning. Any idea of where this might be available?
Archer, Derek was right, you need to get off your high horse (1,200 cds, that's not that many), you can buy this dvd at Molkenmusic so go put your money where your mouth is. As for your negative post comment, the guy was right, you need to grow up and learn some new vocabulary words.
I'll be rude. Listen, I have over 1,200 cd's (not inlcuding my huge bootleg collection and I an proud to say that I NEVER HAVE DOWNLOADED a cd. I truly believe in giving a performer their money however when I look for something and I'll I get is "currently unavailable" or "out of pinrt" then it's BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY..notice I SAID TRADE!!!
Mind you're own biz cat, if you can't help then fuck off. I would never download a cd and I am a huge fan of album/cd art and reading the credits.
yeah that does suck, getting the currently unavailable... my appologies thought that it was available somewhere. peace - have a good weekend. i'll check if I still do have a copy of this.... Hanging from the Cobwebs in my mind
Aplolgies for the harsh words. It's the LOSERS that need to download everything that DESTROYED the record indusrty and now some bands have to make deals wirh Best BUy, Walmart, etc just to make sure they get paid for their art/music.
This dvd is very raw, but still awesome. judging from the previews for upcoming releases from Molken, King's X fans are in for huge treats. Making of dogman dvd and Faith Hope Live. Long live King's X
Yeah...I admit, initially I was sort of dissappointed in the video quality which is pretty bootleggish... I actually haven't watched it all the way through, but you motivated me to pop it in again and give it another chance.
Oh boy, this is gonna be GREAT!!! I'm still kicking myself for not going to that show (lived in Hendon),but I just wasn't aware of them yet! I became a huge fan a couple of years later.
Man, really one of my all-time-fav-bands. Gorgeous voice, gorgeous songwrting, gorgeous sound.

Yes, I know now. Then it's ok :) But it's strange that it took 20 years before Live in London came out, their first "official" live dvd.
It's great by the way
