Interesting, but I strongly condemn the Japanese attitude 60 years ago of the Kamikaze. This is exactly what terrorists are conducting in the Middle East: run into a crowd of innocent people and detonate a bomb wrapped around them in the name of an idea. One of the deciding factors was the if the US invaded Japan, the military was training Japanese citizens to use sharpened bamboo sticks to "rush" US forces and try to stab them with it and also how to strap bombs to themselves.
Furthermore, Kamikaze pilots were influenced heavily by shinto beliefs, also as a promotion of nationalist sentiment. Those carrying out attacks were often times young teenages: 15,16,17,18 year olds, educated with government propaganda since they were young. They were taught how to think, prepare and attack. They were given manuals on how to mentally die. They did not target civilians because they did not have a large access to them. However, it is clear from incidents like Rape of Nanking.

Apparently China and Russia collaborated in "invasion" training with amphibious vehicles and special ops. Amphibious vehicles are not used for DEFENCE, and this China possess in HUGE AMOUNTS. Japanese are also not allowed to wage war, have a military for aggressive purposes, or resolve conflict by arms. They are, however, allowed to have a "self-defense force", hence no aircraft carriers, or attacking missiles, or nuclear warheads.
Its "Article 9" Japan is by law a passive nation.

You speak english and so probably live in the USA, take that warrior heritage and add to the USA, make yourself strong for Japan and the USA.

Interesting, but I strongly condemn the Japanese attitude 60 years ago of the Kamikaze. This is exactly what terrorists are conducting in the Middle East: run into a crowd of innocent people and detonate a bomb wrapped around them in the name of an idea. I am Japanese, but that does not mean I support Japan in its attitudes of Kamikaze. It is wrong and must be condemned and looked down upon. I, however, support Japan's part in stronger and more aggressive politics for a closer tie with the US.

That is just the thing. Kamikaze attacked military targets- aircraft carriers, warships, etc. They did not targe civilians.
War is horrific and it was terrible that the USA and japan went to war, but both countries have grown from this and are now steadfast allies.

Kamikaze is a general term applied to not just military actions, but also civilian actions, similar to the attacks today against coalition forces in the middle east.
Towards the end of WWII, the united states was debating on whether to use the atom bomb to end the war. One of the deciding factors was the if the US invaded Japan, the military was training Japanese citizens to use sharpened bamboo sticks to "rush" US forces and try to stab them with it and also how to strap bombs to themselves.

Those carrying out attacks were often times young teenages: 15,16,17,18 year olds, educated with government propaganda since they were young. They were taught how to think, prepare and attack. They were given manuals on how to mentally die. They did not target civilians because they did not have a large access to them. However, it is clear from incidents like Rape of Nanking.

People don't want it, the politicians do. Besides, even if not on par with the US or UK or NATO, Japan is a regional power in terms of economics as well as militarily. Checkbook diplomacy didn't really work out in the first Gulf War.

I suppose there is more pressure from the US for Japan to play a more stabilising power in the Asia-pacific region. Thts one reason why Japan has increasingly upped its JSDF. Also North Korea may have to do with it as well.
Japan has increasingly become concerned by NKs. Nks also regularly try to tresspass into Japanese territorial waters. This was how they kidnapped Japanese citizens back in the 70 or 80s (thereabts). Japan is simply trying to protect its territorial integrity.

Are you saying, Japan should not have any defence? So that China can invade Japan? Why is China investing more on arming military? To attack? If you havn't noticed, the west is most likely aiming at China than Japan. Japan is building its defence with help of the west from any possible attacks of N.Korea and China. China is a devil behind the mask.

To see how many times did Japanese invade its neighbors, and how many times did Chinese invade Japan. And if you still have a little conscience, please retrospect your people's filthy deeds and please see whether you feel even a little penitence. So who is the evil behind mask?

Real arguements are best viewed from a neutral ground. I live in Europe, educated history from a "British System", hence your book is more likely to be a biased comic book. Calling ones race "filthy" and such is an act of "Racism". Japan's one the most well respected service nation and has a very high tourist reputation, even "KOREA" admits to that. You are misleaded.

I can tell you we invest money in military is to prevent Japanese invasion, and to narrow the gap of military capacities between China and her potential hostile countries, apparently Japan is one of these potential hostile countries.

The Japanese invest in JSDF and their programme while China does NOT invest on defence from Japan but weapons of mass destruction. Japan does not even have the STRENGTH to invade. They don't even have nuclear missiles for god sakes. Why do the Taiwanese feel threatened as well?

You are misled either. Haven't you heard any speeches by Japanese politicians who declares Japan can produce 1000 nuclear war heads in a few days and Japan needs to be nuclear armed? Do you know Japan has 2 landing carriers which definitely designed to attack rather than defend, and China has none of these kind of warship. Furthermore Japan is developing stealth fighters, long range missiles and so on, Do you know anythings about this? So who is more aggressive?

No YOU got the facts wrong. Russia and China had a military training session just like Japan, India & USA Trial. Apparently China and Russia collaborated in "invasion" training with amphibious vehicles and special ops. Amphibious vehicles are not used for DEFENCE, and this China possess in HUGE AMOUNTS. I do agree Japan possess some of the lists u mentioned above, but you are misled to not know China overwhelmes this amount.

Firstly, I have never emphasized Chinese military is used for DEFENSE, because we still have problem of Taiwan and we don't have the history like Japan. It is you who emphasized the purpose of JSDF is to defend. And our landing capacity is no match for your Japan. Have you ever read Jane's Defence which is published in Britain?

China has nuclear missiles, these are weapon of mass destructions and they cost money. need to be invested to build. Therefore China has weapon of mass destructions. But if it only use them for national defence not assault it could be acceptable.
