Supergirl then turned on a space portal device and Superman shot Darkseid with his heat vision. Darseid fell into the portal. That's how they won.

The problem I have with this and all Superman cartoons is that they don't REALLY display Superman's full strength. Even when is supposedly "cutting loose", when we know he is so much more powerful than these cartoons are leading us to believe. That's just how I see it. They're good stories and all, but I don't feel Superman is doing all he can in battle.

Justice League was the greatest comic series to ever grace television. Especially JL Unlimited. It would be great if they continued this series. I grew up as Marvel Fan. I felt that Marvel was the better company(had better heroes, nastier villains,etc) I collected very little DC except for Batman. but I simply can't watch Marvel anime. It's horrible,since it is targeted toward a younger audience. I guess that's what happens when Disney's in charge. Marvel should hire the same writers from JL

The reason I like western animation fight scenes (particularly the Diniverse) more than anime fight scenes:
The sheer brutality. There's actual emotion in these fights. Most of the time it feels like Naruto and Bleach are just stretching for time and showing off what they can do in their fights.
It's like comparing the lightsaber duel at the end of Return of the Jedi with any of the fights from the prequels.
Fans of the above should look for New Captain Scarlet. Brilliant show.
For anyone wondering, whenever Superman fights a being like Darkseid, he's cutting loose and showing off his full power. The reason why it doesn't look that way is because the two times he did it before "Destroyer" was he was weakened and not at full strength. In STAS, he was under red sun light lamps for days and he never charged himself up with yellow sunlight before going to Apokolips. Here, Superman basically just had the entire universe tear through his body but he still pwned Darkseid. :)

Darkseids power in the comic varies to quite a degree, but usually he is roughly as powerful as superman. In his current (or at least before he dies) incarnation, he get's his ass STOMPED by Superman when Superman get's mad. Superman literally breaks his arm and jaw, and traps Darkseid in the source wall.

Justice League was the greatest comic series to ever grace television. Especially JL Unlimited. It would be great if they continued this series. I grew up as Marvel Fan. I felt that Marvel was the better company(had better heroes, nastier villains,etc) I collected very little DC except for Batman. but I simply can't watch Marvel anime. It's horrible,since it is targeted toward a younger audience. I guess that's what happens when Disney's in charge. Marvel should hire the same writers from JL

The reason I like western animation fight scenes (particularly the Diniverse) more than anime fight scenes:
The sheer brutality. There's actual emotion in these fights. Most of the time it feels like Naruto and Bleach are just stretching for time and showing off what they can do in their fights.
It's like comparing the lightsaber duel at the end of Return of the Jedi with any of the fights from the prequels.
Fans of the above should look for New Captain Scarlet. Brilliant show.

For anyone wondering, whenever Superman fights a being like Darkseid, he's cutting loose and showing off his full power. The reason why it doesn't look that way is because the two times he did it before "Destroyer" was he was weakened and not at full strength. In STAS, he was under red sun light lamps for days and he never charged himself up with yellow sunlight before going to Apokolips. Here, Superman basically just had the entire universe tear through his body but he still pwned Darkseid. :)

@superstarwarsrocks Well, it still stands, what he said in in "Destroyer"-- that it is VERY rare that there's an enemy that he can unleash the full measure of his fury against without it killing them (Doomsday and Darkseid being the two I can think of in the DCAU off the top of my head); and even then, its heavily implied in DCAU that Darkseid is the one person that Superman just might be willing to break his 'thou shalt not kill' rule for.

In Justice League right here, he wants to see Darkseid a "greasy smear on his fist" which means he wants him dead and why he was so pissed off at Batman for not allowing him to finish what he started. And in JLU, he meant to kill him unleashing his full power. So yeah, Darkseid is someone Superman has no problem killing.

@superstarwarsrocks He only pawned him because he's the bad guy- and the bad guys always lose. Darkseid should beat superman most of the time because overall he's a better fighter-Superman may be a little stronger than darkseid but he makes up for it in battle experience.

Pretty good bi the "Superman Batman: Apocalypse" movie has a way better fight. The only person who can kill Darkseid is his farther who is trapped in the source wall. Darkseid is a god Superman is just a strong alien!

@clgreene100 It was a really strong explosion designed by Brainiac. It actually did kill Darkseid and Apokolips was plunged into civil war. But at the end of JLU, Lex Luthor accidentally resurrects Darkseid.

Darkseid is the only villain in comics that Superman would ever consider killing when pushed. A: because he is not human; B: because he is pure nonredeemable evil and C: Because his power levels are strong enough to take on the man of steel at full power and is quite possible the only being other than Doomsday that could kill Superman by way of sheer physical punishment. D:Because Darkseid won't stop until one of them is dead.

Darkseids power in the comic varies to quite a degree, but usually he is roughly as powerful as superman. In his current (or at least before he dies) incarnation, he get's his ass STOMPED by Superman when Superman get's mad. Superman literally breaks his arm and jaw, and traps Darkseid in the source wall.

@cryptidsci56 OH okay, thanks for letting me know, so OVERALL superman IS more powerful than darkseid, in the end at least, that's cool, but darkseid's cool too ya know, he's ONE of the only opponents that's equivalent to superman, and can go at him anyday and is CAPABLE of kicking superman butt. I love superman so I wouldn't want that to happen, but I'm just stating for a fact, as like you said. Thanks.
