  • Absolutely SUPERB!!! And she has a sense of humor- THAT is a great combo!!!!

  • We have another Clara Schumann! BEAUTIFUL!!!!

  • Enough of the "she's got no emotion" argument! She's concentrating, for goodness' sake. Every performer is different and she is technically amazing and nothing short of that. These are extremely difficult pieces. For those of you who are detractors, if you pull out the music for this, you'd gain a far greater appreciation for what she has accomplished here. This girl is phenomenal.

  • It means nothing if she plays without emotion. My friend's brother plays less difficult pieces technically, but musically and emotionally he's at least 5 years ahead of this girl. He's 11 now.

  • amazing girl!...

  • @MissGenelva - you say that everyone who's been playing for 8 years can play like that...its just not true - Chopin's Etude No. 4 Op. 10 is one of the hardest of the etudes, so it really is that amazing that she's 12 and can play it that well!!! Maybe you're not hating, but don't try and minimise her achievements! Great playing!

  • You really play that Chopin Etude 10/4 like a piece of cake!

  • it's just TOO hilarious how you hear background "ooohhh!!"s and "yooooo!!"s. Just cracks me up cause you'd hear it in a shed and in general, classical music audiences shut up and listen and won't clap until the piece is over. THEN, they'll cheer for about 5 minutes. This is funny though. That's my ppl! Somebody PLEASE!!!! Show this girl how to transform her classical knowledge into modern day styles so she can kill everything on the gospel scene...

  • Its a nice vid, but come on. its just another girl, drilled by parents sinds age of 2 or 3, people been doing that for years. yeey another 'child wonder'. Everybody whos been playing this for at least 8 years can play it like this. its not that special people.

  • @MissGenelva She learned this very quickly incase you didn't know. She only needs a few months to learn some of the most complex music ever written. That is genius, and you can't do that. It would take you 7 years to learn what she can learn in a few months. That is special.

  • @WhoLueYou No i dont think its genius. No i cant, i cant play piano and im not saying i could learn it that fast, but there are alot of people who have this kind of talent. im just getting a little tired of people acting like every new child that comes alon has a 'gift'. I wanna be clear, im not hating! =)

  • she has such a fuck face... ugly..

  • @rodgermeijer Well, I think she looks nice - a very attractive young lady (and I think you know it aslo) . Chelsea plays beautifully also.

  • beautiful

  • Chelsea, you have more talent in one pinky than I do in both hands and my brain combined!! Keep it up. Could Juliard be calling your name? I love your voice also. Keep writing and if you are composing, keep that up as well!!! Excellent work young lady!!!!!

  • I don't like this flat fingers! Absolutely wooden performance.

  • WOW...just played that Chopin etude like it was chopsticks

  • OMG What A gift!!!!!!

  • omgg chealseeyyyy i loveee her... she goes to my schooll... =D

  • @Noelazara What age is she now?

  • you are looking at one of the top pianist in the VERY near future.

watch her beethoven moonlight video and you will see how much improvement there is in ONE year. absolutely amazing. that etude was absolutely impressive, AND played on a friggin KEYBOARD!!!!

  • @chrism216 What? I thought Chelsea's moonlight performance was really great also.

  • she's in my spanish class lol she is so humble and nice, i never knew she was a prodigy!

  • Wow Beauty & Talent!!!

  • o man if i culd play the piano like that i wuld be set for life lol

  • I know I'll get flamed for this, but I didn't really like the Beethoven much. I felt that it was played without the humor and spirit that (I feel) the piece needs. The Chopin, on the other hand, was quite good, though it certainly suffered from being performed on a keyboard rather than a piano. But 5 stars nevertheless.

  • i don't know what she found so funny at 1:57 but her giggle is hilarious. on another note lol she's an awesome pianist

  • yeah i noticed that last January 16 and I think bcoz the piano sounded funny

  • I think she's laughing because she isn't used to people going crazy for playing before she is even done with a piece.

  • The name of the second piece is Chopin Etude Op.10 No.4

  • hello internet people!

please tell me the name of the

    second song!

    thank you!

  • Totally Awesome!

  • she laughed and still didnt miss a key!!!!

  • I love when she giggles at 1:57! So cute!

  • @fortvalleystate I read your comment as I was at 1:53 and I rushed to scroll back up so I could see! ahahahah><

  • stupid people screaming while she's performing... this is not a rock show!

  • Is she the best in the world!?

  • so effortless! =) u go gurl!

  • Sorry. I will go against most people here. I think Chelsea's strength is Beethoven. I liked the Chopin too, but prefered the Beethoven. I love Chelsea's playing and she doesn't have to prove anything to anyone.

  • shes good!!!

  • I think that she held back on the first song..... but that second song was...WOW

  • She laughed 1:57- 1:59 LOL

  • Its very beautiful music. I kinda get the feeling that theres no passion behind The first song though. I'm not saying that shes not doing amazing, because she IS. This is WONDERFUL. And the Etude is amazing. And she did that without music. Good Job =D

  • she's AWESOME! makes me wish i never stopped my lessons!

  • Boy am I glad I came upon her on MySpace ... they sent me a request and it stood out. Wow I will praying for your ministry.

  • OMG!! that second song was incredible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this girl is amazing!! the speed of her fingers is like OMG! like she truely inspires me to keep playing piano. i love the crowds reactions and how she smiles when they go crazy! lol :-)

  • gosh she's so amazing. i wish her the best!! go chelsea!!

  • i smell a prodigy...

  • she's physically gisted with long fingers.. larger hand span.. Most great ones have that too!

  • She was the best musician there that night, hands down!!!!!!

  • Great!

  • Chelsea is always awesome!

  • Very nice!!!!!!

  • Amazing!!! Her Fingers move around like Spider Legs. I'm still speechless even after watching her play with my own eyes. And I can't wait to see her play again this year at the next event. Keep it up Chelsea Dock!!!!
