This is actually Kingsway Telephone Exchange, [31-33 High Holborn] situated in a deep-level tunnel under Chancery Lane Tube Station. There is an entrance in Furnival Street. The Cold War 'Hot Line' between Washington DC and Moscow was routed through this exchange.
@osker450 If you're really interested in secret tunnels, [or at least their surface entrances], then check out the door at the bottom of The Duke Of York's steps. This door is in the outside of the ICA, but not connected to it. The door is presumably an access point for the tunnels which run under the Mall. The door is not far from the Admiralty building. Another point of access is from a Telecom building in Craigs Court, a cul-de-sac off Whitehall. There is a lift into the tunnels.
How about, we put all the MPs in it, knock a part of the wall out and let the Thames fill it up. Hey Presto, no more crooks in a position of power! just a water polution issue!
wouldn't work due to fire risk - which is why it's all still up for sale. they are very impractical spaces which were designed for their original purpose and nothing else.
If anything, secure storage.
So someone with a spare 4-5 million quid who wants to open a secure storage facility.... dragons den anyone?
if i had the money i would buy it and live there :)

Firing range? There's only one type of person who carries a gun around London and that type of person don't pay to get into no firing range.

that would take too long and different crooks would take their places, which would be a total waste of a perfectly good disused tunnel.
