Rest in peace Rue! Its so hard to watch the golden girls pass, but especially for gay men. These gals changed alot of minds about the community and humanized us during a time when it was socially unnacceptable to do so. Rest in peace Rue! you will be sorely missed!

It would be so hard to choose, but Bea's comic timing is classic. Especially the scene when she is being proposed to in season 7, and Rose says "I think he's gonna ask her out again!". Dorthy's look is classic. That scene always makes me cry. I own all seven seasons.
I'm a gay guy and i love all the golden girls! ughhh it just kills me first off that the show is over....and second that two of our golden girls are gone now :( .......this show was one of the first, if not the first to include homosexuality into its story lines, and it did it for pro gay rights and more importantly did it tastefully....hahaha ill never forget the episode where blanche and dorothy had to pretend to be lesbian on a tv show, hell ill never forget any episode their all so good.....

ive been wondering the answer to this question for at least 10 years. I figured it was because she was a closeted lez and the gays new it. I had a gay roommate that HAD to watch it. He also had to watch all the soaps too.
Oh it sucks that she's dead along with Bea and Estelle. I love ALL the Golden Girls I have no specific favorite.
