It would be illegal if the library would print the same content and give it away for free or sell them. It is the same with movies and games. The digital content is on a medium that is provided by the company and sold to shops but the shop can´t just copy the content themselves and sell it, cuz that again would be illegal.

Online piracy might be a problem, cuz it not only harms the big rich companies, it also harms independent companies and developers who try to make their way within the industry. Also it harms many Artists in lack of support they probably need to accomplish their goals and to get the motivation to create great art. Censoring is not an option and neither is total surveillance, just to stop piracy and all of you know ACTA is not just for that

@supersushi269 they got the license for that and if you want to own the books you have to buy them. These are legal copies, cuz the companies sold them to the libraries. It would be illegal if the library would print the same content and give it away for free or sell them. It is the same with movies and games. The digital content is on a medium that is provided by the company and sold to shops but the shop can´t just copy the content themselves and sell it, cuz that again would be illegal.

Great video - One flaw in its narrative though: International agreements have to be ratified by the European Parliament who's members are directly elected. And the people doing the actual detailed negotiating for the other parties are most likely Senior Civil Servants as well. So I am afraid your swipe at a democratic deficit in the EU is not based on reality but fiction. Members of the European Parliament MEPs can by lobbied by effective grassroots campaigns as well.

i cannot see this working. for example if they won't let us share mp3's, we wouldn't even bother buying the original song, thus the artists will not gain anything. Yes there are many people who pirate stuff, but there are loads of other who buy the original stuff as well. Its piracy that keeps the business wheel turning.
