This video is beautifully done. While in some countries they may eat dog meat, there is never any reason to abuse any creature prior to putting it down. We as humans have lost the understanding that we need to honor that which sustains us, not terrorize a creature prior to its slaughter. For that, we will reap what we sow.

Ahh I should have waited to watch this! I'm in a library at my university and I watched this and tears just started pouring down my face! People are giving me funny looks! Oh god what some people do to these faithful and loving creatures is so disgusting, inhumane and cruel. The dogs can't tell us how wrong it is and how much it hurts so they just do it mindlessly.

I have a Border Collie from a Border Collie Rescue in the States and I can not imagine her in this condition. My eyes are opened wide and are also willing to help. I will help the dogs within a mile and the dogs within an ocean or two, I will help all dogs.

OMG. you really opened my eyes! i started to cry at the still pictures of abused dogs. i have a Border Collie and they are the friendliest, smartest, most forgiving animals in the world. is there anything i can do in the USA. i am now going to resaerch animal welfare laws and try to fix things, we owe them this much. We say this for all the animals that are abused - read the text and you will understand. We say this for dogs because we rescue dogs - others say it for different animals. Who do you say it for?
this is not only happening with dogs it's happening with most of the animals we eat or use for other industrial porpuses. I love this video it shows people the reality of the world that we live in nowadays. we must change our habits at all kinds of ways.
You make the same valid point as the previous comment and we agree. Aspects of cruelty to dogs, shown in the video, apply to other species in most countries.
Humans exploit animals for food, testing and pleasure. They force animals to live in unnatural conditions and do unnatural things for profit, fame and entertainment.
This, in itself, is wrong but is made worse by the cruel practices of some people.
If we would try to stop people from China or Korea etc from eating dogmeat, then what would stop them from blaming us for eating chicken or cow meat? I love dogs, but in some parts it is a local cuisine and we cant change that, because it is a reality. Yes of course I would demand atleast for the dogs to be put asleep so they would not suffer.

Working at a shelter would be good experience 'cos it aint easy actually running a shelter.
The work is 24/7/52 and although it has massive emotional rewards it is sometimes heartbreaking and very frustrating when you come up against 'the human factor.

I'm crying as I write this and watch this video. Very strong message. Hard to believe that human beings can be so heartless. Dogs just want to be loved. I wish this could be projected on a giant screen for all to see. Then maybe more people would open their eyes. Maybe a few would be touched enough to help take at least some of the pain away from this loving creatures.
Because we're involved in rescue we see this sort of thing regularly, first or second hand.
It's not so difficult for us to believe the worst of human nature having 'repaired' some dogs that have suffered at human hands.
When we asked Colliewood Films to put this video together we did not forsee the upset and impact it would have on some people who are not as prepared as we are to digest the message.

really terrible those stupid people who dont understand how to treat bc dogs and other animals they just dont give a s.... . I self have one bc who was treadet badly by the breeder. now she's the best ever. Has fun does agility runs on the beach swimms whenever possible. That is the leve of a dog not closed in one cage and been beaten till death. And they want to stop death penalty. They can give that for the people who are killing animals for fun or food. There are good and bad breeders. We take a stand against those that breed for money and those that sell for profit but a few breed because they love dogs and the money is not important. Very few.
We do need a general shake up in the laws in the UK to be able to take a really moral stance. There are many loopholes allowing exploitation - but other countries are well behind us.
It is realy terribile what the "people"are doing to dogs and all the other animals. I gave my border a nice home after she has been treated badly by her breeder. Now she is the most perfect dog off the world. Wish the people were as inteligence as most borders and other animals. Plese let me now where i can sign or do something to help.
Well joanne0Angel, thats one of the points we make in the video - we obviously don't blame our welfare laws for the lack of those in china, however, now you mention it, our laws are not perfect and we still have some way to go.
Our laws are diluted by lobbyists representing groups who profit from exploiting animals and also allow people to profit from exploiting rescue as a business.
As we say in the vid - we all need to improve - no-one is perfect.
It does seem to have opened a few eyes already, judging by the comments.
Hopefully it wil continue to do so.
These subjects are very difficult to cover in a palatable way and if people are put off by the imagery the message does not get through.
We hope we have achieved balance here and that people will accept this plea as coming from the dogs and be more inclined to do what they can to stop the horror.

there is no need to mistrteat any animal but what some call mistreatment might no be the same with everyone. my dog live outside even in winter, he has a shelter, has grown a thick winter cout & is fit and happy, he get fed once a day 6 days a week, htat may come as a suprise or a shock, but the worst thing you can do for your dog is overfeed it, 2 meels a day is not good for them, the dogs digestive system is designed ot work by gorging then fasting,when its hungry it goes looking for its super
Don't know what breed of dog you have but the average BC would be quite happy living outside and many do prefer it to a warm house, although few get the choice.
As long as they have good bedding and good shelter they thrive and usually live longer.
More people should allow their dogs to be dogs as opposed to treating them as a child subsitute or an extension to their ego.
Agree it is bad to overfeed - but we go for the twice a day system.

We would not be surprised to see that anywhere. People should defend their families and community against danger.
Again, it is how it is done that arouses criticism and disgust.
Feral populations can be reduced and eliminated without cruelty.
Every country still has problems with individuals or subcultures that abuse animals. Some are worse off than others.
Governments that foster a culture of animal abuse need reminding that other cultures disapprove or they will have no incentive to change.

Anyone can be a barbarian if they practice barbaric methods. It's not so much what they do but the way it is done.
When people have to kill to eat or for protection they do not have to make animals suffer or take pleasure in doing so.
Culture, superstition, ignorance all contribute towards animal suffering. It need not be so.
Education helps understanding which increases humanity and humane practice.
So educate.
Things will change - if there is understanding and will.

OMG. you really opened my eyes! i started to cry at the still pictures of abused dogs. i have a Border Collie and they are the friendliest, smartest, most forgiving animals in the world. is there anything i can do in the USA. i am now going to resaerch animal welfare laws and try to fix things, we owe them this much. Thank You.

this is a good video, thanks for posting it, i'm alway's signing petitions for animal abuse, in this day and age there should'nt be the need to have to do this, its just a sad fact that animal abuse still goes on.

You are quite right - these days there shouldn't be a need for such action but the need seems to get greater rather than lesser.
We (humans) seem to invent more devious and abstract ways of exploiting and abusing animals as time passes.
Is this because simple old fashioned abuse now bores people so they become inventive or is it just a result of 'progress'?
Whatever it is it still needs addressing!

We would suggest supporting any campaigns with your signature or vote and your comments. Online and offline.
There are various organisations worldwide that are attacking the problems of animal abuse at source - support them.
Look at what you buy and where it comes from. Try and purchase with these factors in mind.
As you say, any reduction is good.
Make a difference. Do your best.

There is nothing wrong with crying - especially if you are crying because of the distress of others rather than your own problems.
You choice of becoming a veggie will certainly save some animals from a shorter life. I guess you were nearly there before you saw the video!
Do your bit and complain away. Sign petitions - add your weight.
Take any opportunity you can find to make life better for animals - any animals - any country.

Difficult translation - perhaps another viewer could help out - but as far as we can work out camelkaze said sonething like -
If the animals were not " cuddly, furry and cute " - nobody would exert themselves for them!
This comes from a childish viewpoint that for some animals it is bad but others that are butchered have been left out.
Is it more cruel for a dog to be skinned than a chicken plucked?

You make the same valid point as the previous comment and we agree. Aspects of cruelty to dogs, shown in the video, apply to other species in most countries.
Humans exploit animals for food, testing and pleasure. They force animals to live in unnatural conditions and do unnatural things for profit, fame and entertainment.
This, in itself, is wrong but is made worse by the cruel practices of some people.
Yes, we do need to change our habits and ideas.

If we would try to stop people from China or Korea etc from eating dogmeat, then what would stop them from blaming us for eating chicken or cow meat? I love dogs, but in some parts it is a local cuisine and we cant change that, because it is a reality. Yes of course I would demand atleast for the dogs to be put asleep so they would not suffer.

The point we are trying to make in the video is to be aware and seek changes.
We are against cruelty and the way some cultures treat their food while it is alive and the way they kill.
Again - all nations are open to critisism and another point we make is that every country needs to improve.
Caged hens for eggs. Veal production. Etc.
We should learn to be caring if we are to eat animals.

Yes the eyes tell it all - so much expression.
They say that the eyes are a window to the soul and that makes sense to us.
In the UK the 'animal police' are the RSPCA.
They have powers under laws to sieze animals in certain circumstances and to prosecute owners for cruelty or neglect.
Recently these powers have been increased by new legislation.
Denmark has its own SPCA which is possibly its equivalent - so look into that.

this video is sssoo sad. im really crying.... i have a border collie too and he is just my prid and joy. one day when i grow up i want to by a big farm and rescue border collies. i want to work at an animal shelter and find all kinds of border collies. my farm will be called ABC(alecia's border collies). this video opens my mind and heart to pay more attion to what goses on in the world.... thank you for showing me this!

It's a good ambition to have and we wish you all the best with it.
Working at a shelter would be good experience 'cos it aint easy actually running a shelter.
The work is 24/7/52 and although it has massive emotional rewards it is sometimes heartbreaking and very frustrating when you come up against 'the human factor.

I'm crying as I write this and watch this video. Very strong message. Hard to believe that human beings can be so heartless. Dogs just want to be loved. I wish this could be projected on a giant screen for all to see. Then maybe more people would open their eyes. Maybe a few would be touched enough to help take at least some of the pain away from this loving creatures.

Because we're involved in rescue we see this sort of thing regularly, first or second hand.
It's not so difficult for us to believe the worst of human nature having 'repaired' some dogs that have suffered at human hands.
When we asked Colliewood Films to put this video together we did not forsee the upset and impact it would have on some people who are not as prepared as we are to digest the message.
Sorry it has upset you. Hope it also motivates you to join the battle!

really terrible those stupid people who dont understand how to treat bc dogs and other animals they just dont give a s.... . I self have one bc who was treadet badly by the breeder. now she's the best ever. Has fun does agility runs on the beach swimms whenever possible. That is the leve of a dog not closed in one cage and been beaten till death. And they want to stop death penalty. They can give that for the people who are killing animals for fun or food. Please tell me what i can do to help.

Very glad to know you have taken on and provided a good home for an abused dog.
There are good and bad breeders. We take a stand against those that breed for money and those that sell for profit but a few breed because they love dogs and the money is not important. Very few.
We do need a general shake up in the laws in the UK to be able to take a really moral stance. There are many loopholes allowing exploitation - but other countries are well behind us.

Generelay - what can you do to help - plenty.
Help a local animal rescue charity by volunteering. Support one with any spare cash.
Sign petitions online - google "animal abuse" or "animal cruelty". There are lots of people trying to make a difference - sign their petitions.
It does not matter where they are - it may not seem like 'your problem' in 'your country' but they need your support.
It may not be your favourite breed or species but take a stand to stop cruelty anywhere.

Well joanne0Angel, thats one of the points we make in the video - we obviously don't blame our welfare laws for the lack of those in china, however, now you mention it, our laws are not perfect and we still have some way to go.
Our laws are diluted by lobbyists representing groups who profit from exploiting animals and also allow people to profit from exploiting rescue as a business.
As we say in the vid - we all need to improve - no-one is perfect.

It does seem to have opened a few eyes already, judging by the comments.
Hopefully it wil continue to do so.
These subjects are very difficult to cover in a palatable way and if people are put off by the imagery the message does not get through.
We hope we have achieved balance here and that people will accept this plea as coming from the dogs and be more inclined to do what they can to stop the horror.

In a purely abstract way, your comment brings to mind the image of dog abusers doing a perfect outrun and lift as they are sent out to bring the sheep in.
Would they be a ble to resist gripping or would old habits die hard.
Lets face it - the average Border Collie has more respect for the sheep it herds than some humans have for Border Collies.

there is no need to mistrteat any animal but what some call mistreatment might no be the same with everyone. my dog live outside even in winter, he has a shelter, has grown a thick winter cout & is fit and happy, he get fed once a day 6 days a week, htat may come as a suprise or a shock, but the worst thing you can do for your dog is overfeed it, 2 meels a day is not good for them, the dogs digestive system is designed ot work by gorging then fasting,when its hungry it goes looking for its super

Don't know what breed of dog you have but the average BC would be quite happy living outside and many do prefer it to a warm house, although few get the choice.
As long as they have good bedding and good shelter they thrive and usually live longer.
More people should allow their dogs to be dogs as opposed to treating them as a child subsitute or an extension to their ego.
Agree it is bad to overfeed - but we go for the twice a day system.
