  • Mad house? This is normal for Winco. Slow even...

  • Winco is my favorite food store of all times. Low prices and it's not Walmart!

  • I love all these videos of the real truth of how bad the unemployment rate is here in Portland and the fact that no one cares about helping you find work here. It is 28% at least and that is the REAL uneployment rate. People in ads call you and never return your calls and treat you like dirt for something that is not your falt and when they do call to them it is like it is a joke you are looking for work and blame you for getting laid off. I hate it here and cannot move due to having NO MONEY!!

  • Thanks for this video of how bad the economy is here in Oregon where our unemployment rate is 11% at least. Craiglist is filled with jobs that really do not exist and people that call you and never call you back about jobs that you do qualify for. It has been 1 1/2 years and hardly anyone calls me and I have a 4 year Accounting degree and 17 years of solid job experience. I hate it here and all the lies and game playing that goes on in the employment world. Thanks for the real truth. It is bad.

  • Not even a single food in that supermarket contains real food, except for [some] USDA organic certified food (who's rules and regulation isnt strict enough due to lobbying). But with brains, knowledge and common sense [devoid in todays society], one can tell which USDA certified product is real and which is a baloney.

Contrary to public percerption, purchasing and cooking your own organic food can be cheap.

  • the problem with the economy is poor management.

    that's it.

  • First of the month is always government check day. Like Chris Rock said, it's practically a holiday and ought to have its own carrols.

  • So what everybody in the USA is on food stamps. I know that! Hey im going to get me mine!

  • i love winco

  • So you are saying that all these people are on foodstamps? There are a lot of people who shop on the first of the month (or around that time) because they get PAID. It may have nothing to do with foodstamps.

  • my husband got laid off and I talk him into going to foodstamps and we get $73 that's it

  • What gives ?.....looks like people shopping.....it wasnt crazy or people scrambling....is this supposed to show chaos ?

  • lol! grocery stores everywhere be packed when those stamps come on the 1st of the month. LoL!

  • fuck yea 407 buy all the guns and ammo and gold and silver you can before the real depression hits...dumb sheeple like 1 big jimmy will be sitting on his fat ass drinking beer watching the football game when martial law is declared and the pigs in uniform will bust down his door and haul his fat ass to a fema camp.. wish i could be there to videotape it when it happens...LOL

  • @407buddy good job man..thats why they are working so hard to rise the debt..so it will be too late once the people realize the bank is their enemy..im not even religious but alot of this does seem to go back to some of jesus' warnings of living beyong your means and having too much wealth etc thanks again man

  • I always wondered why even on a weekday mid day, wal mart and the grocery store was always packed. Answer is food stamps and mexicans

  • Damn every mexican in oregon was at the grocery store that day. LOL

  • how?

  • What does food stamp day have to do with an economic collapse. It's been like that for as long as I can remember. You've been spouting about this collapse for over a year now. according to you we should have all been in line for gov. cheese last year. guess what i didn't have to pay a million dollars for my loaf of bread yesterday, and my 401k has completely recovered in only 9 months.

  • 20% of our population is now on food stamps, an substantial increase from 2005, my 401 recovered too, because the fed propped up the market, and it wont last.

  • you have a valid point!!

  • Soon you'll all be on food stamps. Mexico here we come.

  • u posted this exact comment on alota vids! cool thanks for the info/truth keep passing it on

  • I shop there it's not different then any other time...just the first of the month

  • Yes its like that out here and I live in nevada

  • Is winco a food store for food stamps only? I never heard of it.

  • No, But for many years they would only take food stams and cash. They do take credit now.

  • I figure by the end of this year the smart ASS comments will no longer be here.

  • It was proubly state workers getting paid hehe....

  • The WinCo that I always go to (Pomona, CA) is usually pretty crowded as well. I just went there earlier with my dad. He had never been inside before. He loved it right away. The lines at the registers are usually pretty long.

  • Couer D'Alene, Idaho... tourist trap, retirement area. One super walmart in Post Falls, Idaho. Two more super walmart stores to open up within 6 or 7 miles from each other. In 2010. Plus a Winco foods.

  • Food card stamp users usually buy way to much junk food, frozen junk.

  • I notice that too... but it's not my place to judge other people.

  • hundreds upon hundreds of Zombies and slaves to the Federal system.

  • That's a cool low camera angle you were showing, I felt like I was 6 years old again watching that, looking up at all those adults.

  • just gotta watch those upskirt shots...LOL

  • Hey buddy...I'm not sure about food stamps, they probably are paid at one time, but SS is paid out based on the week closest to one's birthday....not all on one day of the month. Thanks for all the effort.

  • Benefits for food stamps are paid out by one certain number in ones social security number. I'm told. So the first 10 days of the month would be pay days. I'm also told by other people its always on the 3rd of the month. That could be true for that person. Guess I would have to call DHS to get some answers.

  • Here in montreal, i nocticed that supermarkets prices go up on the week of welfare checks or food stamps. They know poor people come once a month so they boost the prices. No logic but to suck the blood they have left. Watch out for the Codex Alimentarius. Its a slow genocide. PLZ grow your food if yall have the means.. Dont go in NWO supermarkets..There is almost no real food there.Peace !

  • True about the codex stuff and all the food being nutrient-less. Though you can find better stuff at whole foods and trader joes. Gotta also wonder why they put high fructose corn syrup in like every item.

  • @johnnyr55556 Yep. Corn is like the " Soleil Vert" ( remember the movie ). You can shape it , change the taste and people will buy it.... I can talk but if i check in my pantry, i m shure i will find fake food . :-((

  • Nothing unusual, even when the economy is good.

  • aaron they do this everywhere i think.you have never heard that rap song (its the fist of the month)cash your checks and come on.

  • LOL

  • Check out the shelves after the first week of the month...you will see a huge difference...depleted from the rush.

In a panic situation, the shelves would only be stocked for 24-36 hrs or so.

There are over 36 MiLLion people in America now on Food Stamps...probably more now. :(

  • yeah winco was pack today, up north too.

great vid, keep em coming! 5*

    peace

  • Looks like a lot of empty carts to me. This is why I do my shopping during the week. Id rather pay a little more than deal with a bunch of people.

  • Its always like that at the beginning of the mth.Social Security... (& Disability income too I think) arrives @ the beginning of the mth along with the food stamps.

I used to shop at that exact grocery store back in the late 90's =)

  • I must just notice it now because their are so many food stamp recipients.

  • Comment removed

  • Sorry just a short video I slapped together.

  • It reminds me of what it looks like here in the East a day or two before a snow storm.

  • When people ask where are the soup kitchen lines, we can tell them to go to their nearest 24 hr grocery store on 1st of every month to see all the hungary lined up to buy food with food stamps.

  • Yes it's the twenty first century we have fancy plastic card the government gives us to buy soup with.

  • @rayme4raw

    Very true.

  • i was wondering the same thing here in Southern Cal.

  • Hi Aaron , The food stamp shopping is just part of the frenzy on the beginning of the month

There are also social security recipients and regular shoppers mixed into the recipe

  • I just never put this together till now. I guess so many people are on food stamps now you can't help but to notice it.

  • In my area , The senior citizens fill the grocery stores & casino around the beginning of the month when they get their social security checks

  • Man! I've heard about this. They go to the store and load up, then wait for their cards to reset then head for the checkout!

Winco is a great store though. I do most of my shopping either there or PCC (an organic food place). Winco is cool because the employees own the store! Nice to see at least one business that isn't owned by wallstreet.

  • I wonder if they shop frugally, looking for the best deals and sale items to stretch their free ride. Or do they just buy junk food items.

  • @tyronebiggums3 Many of them there that are buying in the early morning hours on the 1st are doing so because they are hungary. I would think that they are trying to make is stretch. It's the quality of the food that makes them all obese.

  • This is the most exercise some of these people get during the month.lol
